Lowkey hate Showtime for keeping Black Monday until the 2022 ceremony, Rannells & Hall really could’ve slipped into the supporting races this year (along with the annual Cheadle nom).

    "CODA" – in all categories

"Everybody's Talking About Jamie" – Sup. Actor (Richard E. Grant), Sup. Actress (Sarah Lancashire) and Original Song (“This Was Me”)

“The Green Knight” – in all categories

Natasia Demetriou is the MVP of What We Do in the Shadows. I can’t see Matt Berry getting nominated and not her.

For all the talk of The Great building momentum into a strong nomination showing next year, I’m actually thinking it could stick with just a small showing. With so many proven favorites coming back (Russian Doll, Atlanta, Maisel, Ted Lasso) and newer/shinier series having the likelihood to gain buzz (The Chair, Only Murders) I think it could slip through the cracks pretty easily, especially because its a 10 hour long episode season.

Succession’s second season exploded in a crowded drama field last year, but that was only because almost all the previous favorites had fairly mediocre seasons competing (BLL, Killing Eve, THT, The Crown). It was also an inicredibly acclaimed show airing on HBO Sunday nights, which is a buzz factor Hulu can’t match. I really only see The Great doinig well if it has a real knockout of a second season and most proven favorites prove to deliver.

First hot take: Only one FX series will make it into Comedy Series and it won’t be Atlanta.

That’s certainly a hot take. Do you think Atlanta is going to be a critical flop? Because if it’s one of the most acclaimed shows of the year again, it’s not missing after its previous Emmy success and its cast becoming increasingly high-profile.
