Jokes aside, i see no reason for Ozark to win ANYTHING for the first half of a season.
On the back half i can see a narrative, but there’s no reason to reward it for 4A.

About Stranger Things, the universe is against this show finalizing it’s season.

    Garner?

Outside of Garner who’s the most likely after that?

I don’t think Garner will go 3/3, but yeah, she’s always the most likely.
After that idk, maybe directing since it already won once.

I’d totally be on board with an Ozark win, but even Linney couldn’t win against an HBO actress…

I think Directing is actually more likely than Garner. I highly doubt she’ll go 3/3. That hasn’t happened in like forever. Not even Dinklage, Paul or Borstein, managed to do it.

Garner won for the same reasons Borstein did in 2019. She had a wide open field, a well liked performance and was the incumbent winner. Had Ozark been eligible this year she probably would have lost to Anderson (who swept over her).

It’s interesting how Netflix is kind of at the top of the comedy game right now, at least in terms of sheer quantity of good content, but is still managing to disappoint at nearly every turn drama-wise (not counting limited series). But maybe that says more about a push for more/better one-season series, a push that reflects their business model better.

Honestly I think their dramas are better, i just don’t know how they are going to survive without Ozark/The Crown
Just look at this year, their most nominated comedy show was The Kominsky Method (which I love) of all things.

Sorry, I meant, to rephrase, if not Garner, then who in that category?

Netflix’s drama slate is both small and in a lot of ways perplexing. When I did a deep dive probably only have a half dozen continuing (English language or even bilingual) dramas between now and 2023 and none is shouting major awards player.
