Does anyone have any guess as to what Apple might be inclined to campaign outside of The Morning Show in drama? They actually have quite a lot in production (especially compared to Netflix and HBO) but there doesn’t seem to be much press outside of TMS and Foundation, and Foundation is being promoted more like it’s a below the line thing to compliment where TMS isn’t as strong.

Severance starring Adam Scott and Patricia Arquette. I’m assuming they will be placed in lead and supporting respectively, so Aniston and Crudup will still be their push in Lead Actress and Supporting Actor.

apart from maybe Christine Baranski (for the Gilded Age), if she goes lead, who will be the NEW contenders in drama actress?

Aniston, Comer, Oh, Linney and Zendaya are look in a good position for a come back but I guess there will be some new blood!

Louisa Jacobson from The Gilded Age seems set to be placed in lead. Her character leads the show’s premise.

A wide-eyed young scion of a conservative family embarks on a mission to infiltrate the wealthy neighboring clan dominated by ruthless railroad tycoon George Russell, his rakish son, Larry, and his ambitious wife, Bertha.

The question will be whether Baranski (who was initially announced as a lead) or Coon (who is playing the character of Bertha) will also be in lead.

    They are campaigning Foundation? Good
Maybe a nod for Jared Harris could be coming after all.

    Underrated man

Rosamund Pike for The Wheel of Time, I guess? Arquette seems like supporting for Severance. Netflix would be fairly likely to submit The Sandman but I’d be floored if someone went female lead there (although Christie’s billing is very high, it would be a big adaptive stretch). House of The Dragon may not be ready and I think The Time Travellers’ Wife is still filming.

    They are campaigning Foundation

They had the earliest trailer release of anything by a long shot so they’re certainly giving it decent exposure. I can’t imagine they’d not campaign BTL heavily and maybe Harris/Pace.

I am however concerned about the review embargoes.

I’d say that would be a good way to get a bunch more overall noms for Emmys for Apple, it looks really strong VFX wise, maybe production design and sound. Harris isn’t really doing any mainstream press. The Morning Show S2 was similar and the embargoes for that were OK but not great.

So we, Baranski supporters, should put her at #2-#6 or else we’re doomed
