Adam Scott (and apparently Alison Brie, as per her comment) is a fan of The Bear.

Went through Storer’s own IG and other notable fans in the comments

    • Poorna Jagannathan
    • Pedro Pascal
    • Lorene Scarfaria
    • Josh Schwartz
    • Alison Tohlman

Maybe The Bear can catch lightening. I felt it would have a hard time finding an audience but if the buzz keeps growing it might be impossible to ignore. That would make me very happy.

Considering what has already aired in 2022 my personal end of year top ten is going to require me to abandon a few of my babies 😔

Shadows with a 80 MC score
That’s still good but a significant down from their previous 96 for Season 3

I have a feeling since critics overinflate the scores of shows coming off huge seasons like shadows coming off season two. And now that season 3, while good, isn’t getting nearly the same buzz or praise critics are coming back down to earth. I doubt it’s wise than season three but I guess we’ll see. How many episodes did they get?

I was never really sold on the whole expansion of HBO everywhere. Their UK/Australia contracts are a total mess and didn’t seem like that was changing any time soon. I think their priority is the US market. I don’t really think some of their recent co-pros have been well marketed either.

well. first they tried to evoke my entire childhood with Stranger Things, and now they are actually bringing my entire childhood back with a League of Their Own, Willow, Quantum Leap, and Gremlins. and I am here for it. Get ready for people of a certain age to fall for these even if they’re terrible.

Just waiting for the Neverending Story and Princess Bride reboots.

(& I should probably watch Cobra Kai but haven’t)

I think this is misguided strategy when we see how well international programs are doing on Netflix and not just in their respective countries. People are more and more hungry for non-US produced content.
