I love her, but I feel like Olsen is going to be really overestimated on this forum this year lol. David E Kelley hasn’t written anything good since Big Little Lies. I would love to proven wrong though.

Anyway, please give Taron Egerton and Paul Walter Hauser their Emmys now for Black Bird. PWH, especially, was phenomenal.

I watched both and they’re both good adaptations.  Paper Girls is very well done and the young girls are really good, but I don’t love it’s chances on Prime because it just doesn’t feel like a good fit for it – it doesn’t have good crossover to older audiences I think. It will likely be just too adult for Kids and Family Emmys I think.

Sandman has been in development hell since the 90s so a positive if not wildly high Metacritic score and really good user scores (low 8s is very good for Netflix and that’s including a lot of review bombing) is a good result I think. Thewlis in particular is excellent. Needs to be marketed differently.

The Great - Elle Fanning, Nicholas Hoult and comedy writing and directing

Severance in drama series, writing, Adam Scott for best actor, Ben Stiller for drama directing, and the whole cast in supporting.

Black Bird deserves so much Emmy recognition

Taron Egerton, Paul Walter Hauser and Ray Liotta have been particular standouts throughout (and it deserves a Series nod too)

i wasn’t into the books lady of the lake, all the light we cannot see, minds of billy milligan (source of crowded room), or daisy jones & the six. but maybe they make for better tv.

daisy jones does have primo actressing material.

I think Daisy Jones could work in live action. I did the audiobook for that and it worked quite well that way – doesn’t always translate but it gave me a bit of an idea.

I believe that Riley Keough is one of her generation’s best and most versatile actresses who hasn’t had THE role yet, the one to really showcase her skills, and I really hope Daisy will be that for her. Knowing the material she’ll be working with, I think it will be.
