Very happy that Succession was able to beat the mediocre Severance.

August 6, 2022 at 2:05 pm #1205036986Station Eleven continuing to be massively disrespected, despite being miles ahead of its competition. A sad reality…🤧😭

When she continues that trend next year for the final season of The Good Fight >>>>

Succession is the deserving drama series winner – Severance was good but not nearly as good as Succession

Herstory was made
ReplyCopy URLAugust 6, 2022 at 3:51 pm #1205037072Oh wow, I didn’t realize abc hadn’t even been nominated for best new show in 10 years (for revenge). So definitely unexpected before the show debuted.
Makes sense. Nashville was far more soapy than they usually go for, Blackish was a slow burn during S1, their miniseries have been aggressively mid (ahead of their time) and Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder and Fresh Off the Boat’s critical praise consolidated around Washington, Davis and Wu.

The shade 🤭.

August 6, 2022 at 4:18 pm #1205037090Nice to see broadcast network TV in the spotlight for a change in a time when that spotlight has been just about snuffed out.
ReplyCopy URLAugust 6, 2022 at 4:43 pm #1205037099It was a great year for new dramas and they could have at least awarded one or more of them instead of a sweep and that boring Succession repeat for a season that was frankly not even that good.

Abbott sweep, Moore and Amazing Race.
You love to see it.

ReplyCopy URLAugust 7, 2022 at 3:11 pm #1205037711JUSTICE FOR MANDY MOORE! That’s all that matters in the end. The Emmys can shove it. Love the love for “Abbott Elementary,” “Succession,” and Queen Quinta! Slay, TCA!
Just noticed the Heritage Award going to “I Love Lucy”! Crazy it took so long for this to happen, but congrats! Nice wins for Ted Danson and Steve Martin in Lifetime Achievement!
