Calling it now, Rupert croaks. Hence the “no weddings”, since (IIRC) he and Bex were engaged.

Yeah it’s not Harriet Walter because they showed a spoiler on Kimmel when Hannah guested and it consisted of Rebecca, her mum and Keeley discussing who Rebecca was sleeping with (dressed in funeral-esq garb). Rupert’s a great guess.

    I think Rebecca’s dad…

I hope another Emmy nomination for Dame Harriet Walter

And Kieran O’Brien!! Such an underrated actor…. He was really like Jamie Tartt in Virtual Sexuality lol And Nine Songs!! Brave performance…

I hope another episode which has better spotlight on Kieran, and want him to get nominated…

I suppose I depart from the consensus—I loved this episode. It was totally longer than it should’ve been and yes it felt like a completely different show but there’s such earnestness to looking at Beard I can’t help but love it. Self-loathing, deeply wants to love and has a lot to give, but how does he really feel about Ted Lasso? I wanna know!

One thing about this show: the references fly by so fast I assume I don’t know em but like with Bird by Bird, a fucking stellar Anne Lamott reference, I’m glad I can mostly keep up.

The way Brendan Hunt went from questionably being nominated for season 1 to guaranteeing his nom for season 2 after this week’s episode

    Episode 6: The Signal
    SPOILERS

Brett Goldstein is energetic and moving as hell. Loved his speech about Tartt.
The whole Beard/Jane stuff was really off, because they didn’t show us why Higgins doesn’t like Jane (why the relationship isn’t healthy ?), and they didn’t show us why Higgins would care about it, since he’s not a close friend to Beard (despite being part of the Diamond Dogs)

Harriet Walter would make a great Guest actress nominee.

I have to say I don’t understand this whole “Ted Lasso season 2 is awful” thing the internet has conjured. I haven’t seen this week’s episode but aside from “Do the Right-est Thing” I’ve enjoyed each episode of this season as much as I did with season 1 of the show (which I loved).

    Oscars FYC:

what people don’t realize is that most of them, Binge whole series after it aired. Now, they are watching week to week. Hence why they don’t think it’s as good. I’m sure if season 2 was binge, they wouldn’t be as many complaints.

I hate the Netflix age of television.
