If you’re going all in throw Ellie Taylor in too she’s deserving!

She should have been nominated last year for “Make Rebecca Great Again” as well, she has incredible comedic charm.

The way Harriet Walter says “Florence does like wounded birds doesn’t she?” to Rebecca when Sassy and Ted go together at the end of Ep10 deserves an Emmy on its own.

I was disappointed with the Nate storyline. It kind of undermined the whole basis of the series of goodness and nice guys. It won’t be as convincing if they now bring him back to Richmond as though he has realised how tough it is to coach.. cause Jamie has already used that plot tactic..in the beginning I felt Nate’s charchter was experiencing a common thing in humans-overwhelm and pvanity due to praise. But then his character become just evil and to drag Ted’s son into the conversation—I really didn’t like that. Not at all. And wtf was that eyebrows raising thing,as though it’s a video game? I hope this storyline takes somewhere satisfying. One key thing I liked here was the fact that the series showed that Ted Lasso can’t fix everything with his goodness- Nate’s betrayal really put a ring of realism to the series. Cause this happens in real life.

I felt Keeley’s development as a charchter was one of the highlights of the season and can’t wait to see what she does next. I really liked the fact that she refused the holiday at the end of E12 as it didn’t fall into the common trope of the female agreeing to a vacation male booked by male just to chill..I felt it was very realistic as a business woman needs to work and without mutual discussion of dates and conveniences it’s not possible.. Moreover it also highlights how self independent Keeley has become..the relationship between the two was very realistic with highs and lows and realisations as no relationship is sweet after just 1-2 hiccups..

I felt Waddingham was underused in the beginning and this time she was truly a supporting character. While I didn’t completely buy her relationship with Sam,I really appreciated the ending where Sam says “I stayed not for my feelings for you but for my personal journey…”. It was really nice and coupled with his buying the restaurant, showed personal desires and self satisfaction are as important as love.

Sarah Niles had a great charachter. I felt the charachter really stood out in the world of Ted Lasso and the way the emotional layers of her character peeled off were so good. The fact that she sent an audio at the end—wow.

To be short, I’ll say S2 was better and more responsible and mature. More realistic. The show is superb. The wait for S3 starts.

Ted Lasso co-creators/stars Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt have spoken in multiple interviews about how they’d conceived the comedy series for a three-season run. As the Apple TV+ hit is starting work on Season 3, the original vision has not changed, series executive producer/showrunner Bill Lawrence told Deadline in an exclusive post-mortem interview about the Season 2 finale.

“We always try to be close to a year apart, so I would hope to see the show back in the August type area,”

If they manage to wrap it up in 3 seasons without S3 being messy, that’ll be an achievement.

He did stay clean tho, Apple is probably trying to kill them to make more.

“I would probably stay clean and say that even if Ted Lasso goes on, the story the writing staff has been telling had a beginning, middle and end for the first three seasons,” Lawrence said. “And then it might veer off from that.”

Sturdy finale. They need to leave Roy and Keeley alone. This season had more highs than last but also proper lows where last year was never less than very good. At this stage I would nominate:

    Jason Sudekis
    Hannah Waddingham
    Juno Temple
    Sarah Niles
Brett Goldstein (Season MVP and should be win competitive – worth noting that I wouldn’t have nominated him for season 1. He finally found his comic stride and with aplomb.)
    Phil Dunster
    Harriet Walter
    “The Signal” – Writing
    “Man City” – Directing

Nick Mohammed and Toheeb Jimoh would also be good nominations if it is a weak field in the end.

    My nods would be

    Jason Sudeikis
    Juno Temple
    Hannah Waddingham
    Brett Goldstein
    Brendan Hunt
[If the field is weak, in order, Toheeb, Dunster, Mohammed]
    Harriet Walter
    Sam Richardson
“Man City” in both writing and directing, and please let it be the sole nod, even if it’s not this episode, i don’t want the vote split again (at least on directing)

I kind of agree that Hannah, Juno, Brett and Jason are the Emmy locks or at least close. Past that I can see different voting bodies going for different thing, I think what the Emmys vs CCA vs BAFTAs do are different things altogether.
