I mean if someone said Ozark season 2 would have been nominated over something like the second season of Westworld two years ago they would probably have been laughed at.

    Westworld season 2 was nominated.

Big fan of Better Call Saul, Sex Education, Barry, BoJack Horseman, and, especially, Survivor

    Westworld season 2 was nominated.

It was not nominated at PGA.

    FYC:

"The Good Fight", "The Other Two" and "Station Eleven" in all categories, Sarah Lancashire ("Julia"), William Jackson Harper ("Love Life") and Luke Kirby ("The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel")

This actually proves my point, since they have a thing for brand new shows and Pose has never been nominated so it doesn’t make sense to be nominated now.

Ozark has more industry passion overall than Pose.

I was talking about The Morning Show.

With how empty the field is (it’s even worse than the Emmy field 💀💀💀), how much passion its fifth season seems to be generating and the recent Selena Gomez controversy could the guild throw The Good Fight a bone? The controversy feels like something some in the guild would get a bit defensive about but more importantly, whenever there tends to be a weaker field the guild tends to default to a critically buzzed passion pick instead of lazily nominating something like This is Us.

Succession will get back in (and probably win) and The Handmaid’s Tale will probably return but what else is there? I guess Pose is possible considering it got in at the Emmys and the guild did nominate it in the weak new series field in 2018.

    FYC:

"The Good Fight", "The Other Two" and "Station Eleven" in all categories, Sarah Lancashire ("Julia"), William Jackson Harper ("Love Life") and Luke Kirby ("The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel")

    New Series:
    1- The White Lotus (HBO)

As far as I’m aware limited series aren’t eligible for the new series award at WGA.

    4- Pam & Tommy (Hulu)

According to the show’s creator on Twitter, Pam and Tommy is airing in the spring (so it will be ineligible).

    FYC:

"The Good Fight", "The Other Two" and "Station Eleven" in all categories, Sarah Lancashire ("Julia"), William Jackson Harper ("Love Life") and Luke Kirby ("The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel")

The White Lotus is getting a Season 2. Does that not make it eligible for New Series ?

The Haunting of House Hill was nominated. I don’t remember if it was placed in Drama or Long Form. And of course, there is Watchmen.

I don’t know, though. It’s a weird rule, considering that it’s essentially a New Series.

    2- Hacks (HBO Max)
    3- Girls5Eva (Peacock)
    4- Reservation Dogs (FX)

Long Form – Original: (I think this will trigger three nominees)
    1- Mare of Easttown (HBO)
    2- The White Lotus (HBO)
    3- Solos (Amazon Prime Video)

These two categories are like serving Hacks and Mare Of Easttown a win apiece on their plates for free.

    Emmy FYC
    -Severance in all categories.
    -Ted Lasso in all categories.
    -The Dropout in all categories.

-Jennifer Coolidge, Connie Britton, Margaret Qualley, Colin Firth

-Jean Smart, Kaley Cuoco, Juno Temple, Sarah Lancashire and Martin Short.

It’s only coming out in 2022.

    The Shrink Next Door

That show will most definitely compete in adapted. It is based on a podcast.

    FYC:

"The Good Fight", "The Other Two" and "Station Eleven" in all categories, Sarah Lancashire ("Julia"), William Jackson Harper ("Love Life") and Luke Kirby ("The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel")
