Curb Your Enthusiasm has been performing quite well in spite of the competitive field. That could just be because the guilds have historically liked it more than Emmys but I’m thinking it could be a dark horse for a nomination in series because there definitely does still seem to be quite a bit of industry passion (its misses at SAG both this year and last does feel weird though).

Curb feels like a solid consensus pick at the Emmys in the face of almost too many options and a lot of new stuff.

It’s crazy to say but with Barry, Russian Doll, Maisel and Hacks coming along with OMITB, Ted Lasso, The Great, it’s going to be one of the strongest Emmy Series Lineups in recent times.
+The White Lotus if it is moved to Comedy

100% getting the multi-cam directing spot then.

I’m quite relieved Dead To Me is unlikely to make eligibility. I wouldn’t want it crushed under the weight of multiple shows

DGA’s drama lineup is utterly terrible, just a reflection of poor awards voter mentality. I sincerely think Yellowjackets‘ pilot deserved a nomination.

Yeah, I think Curb is likely getting in, even if/when David misses again. They’ve always had an inexplicably spotty record at SAG – 3 ensemble nominations there versus 9 Emmy comedy series noms. Now is absolutely the year they should finally nominate Susie Essman in supporting, though. She had the best season of the cast.

I wonder if it might show up in some of these guest acting categories as well. I’m not a viewer but there really seemed to be quite a fair share of hype around some of its guest this season (most notably Ullman).

I’m still somewhat surprised Jon Hamm missed last season but I’m assuming that will be rectified this year.

Ullman would be an incredibly deserving winner, let alone nominee. Actors might be done with this show – between David’s snub last year and the SAG misses – but Ullman has the name and industry support to break through regardless. Hamm had a fantastic episode last time around. Not so much this season, but it’s still a funny spot and so many have gotten in for so much less.
