Glenn Close is definitely getting this award sometime soon. She has hosted the ceremony, so she knows all the right people involved. And she is one of those rare people just as known for film, TV and Broadway (a triple threat).

Dionne Warwick! She is long overdue for this honor.

I expect Glenn Close to win. Singer-songwriter Whitney Woerz should appear in her tribute, as she was a teen ambassador for Close’s mental health organization BringChange2Mind. Maybe they’ll include songs from Sunset Boulevard, such as “As If We Never Said Goodbye.”

For Berry Gordy, is there a clip of Smokey Robinson singing “Did You Know”? I would have included a performance of “Dancing in the Streets” or “My Guy” with the lyrics about Berry.

As for the list of 50 potential honorees, I would add Andre Rieu, playwright Athol Fugard, opera composer Carlisle Floyd, singer Brenda Lee, jazz pianist Dick Hyman, choreographer Mark Morris and avant-garde composer Meredith Monk. Also, how come every time I try to comment on the page it doesn’t work?

Phil Collins?! Why don’t you add Randy Newman there to make it complete?

I was watching Tarzan so he and his career came to mind off the bat for some reason.

From what I heard it was called “Did You Know When You Dreamed Your Dream.”

Someone I think belongs in the top 50 recommendations is Neil Young, if only for standing up to Spotify.

I would say next honorees are Harrison Ford, Jane Fonda, Gladys Knight, Tommy Tune and Barry Gibb.
