Only according to GoldDerby, I haven’t seen any other source claiming so. It seems as if the show has been planned as a limited series from the beginning and, to be fair, the premise and the source material doesn’t seem enough for more than a single season. We shall see I suppose.
I’ve seen Cuoco state that it’s only a limited series simply because they haven’t got a second season yet. She said if they get renewed she could be back on set in January so I guess we shall find out soon.
I think it’s a Perry Mason type situation except unlike Perry Mason this one could also go Comedy.

November 29, 2020 at 9:59 am #1203882284I’m wondering how much of this show was exactly shot before the pandemic considering how they’ve set up Michelle Gomez’s role at the end of the Pilot and she was only cast after the lockdown…
Here’s the answer according to Deadline’s report on Gomez’s casting: “Gomez was shooting prior to the shutdown, but the casting never was announced.”

No idea what’s going on with Rosie Perez’s storyline, though. Let’s hope the show has a great landing.

Have you seen the show?
ReplyCopy URLDecember 4, 2020 at 1:55 pm #1203894787Between this, Harley Quinn and TBBT being on of their top streamers, Cuoco becoming the unofficial queen of HBO Max is one of the most pleasant surprises of 2020.

I don’t think either so far.

Zosia Mamet. Honestly, she has a lot more screentime than Perez and Gomez.

Hmm interesting.
I’m surprised by this because they’ve been marketing Perez and Gomez quite a lot and set up Gomez for a bigger role in the opener. Then again they are the most famous non Cuoco people on the show.
Intrigued to see what happens past episode 1. I really enjoyed the Pilot!

December 6, 2020 at 2:49 am #1203897728Zosia has more screen time, and is also just better. Having only seen her in ‘Girls’ previously I’m actually quite surprised by her delivery here. She’s better than I recall

Yes I have seen the first five episodes and so far the only great thing about this show is Cuoco’s performance.

The Kaley Cuoco-led thriller is tallying significant week-over-week increases, up 26% from last weekend (11/26-11/29), and up 55% from series premiere day to this past Thursday’s 2-episode drop. Ranking #1 on the streamer this past weekend, the strength of the series helped the platform deliver a new record high for hours viewed, eclipsing the last record set during Thanksgiving week.“
