Is it possible that episode 6 turned a lot of people off? Too much drama after all?

According to flixpatrol.com, TFA was the most streamed show on HBO in week 17, 18 & 19 and in May overall. Last week it didn’t even make the top 10, dropping out of it before episode 7 was available last Thursday.

    1. “Brothers and Sisters”
    2. I think Cuoco is even better, but overall S1 was a slightly more enjoyable story
    3. Mamet

I know this is unpopular around here, but this season sucks.

Loved the premiere (as you can see in my previous comment), but the rest of the season is just one of the most unentertaining (I’m making up words in the English language) things I’ve seen lately. Kaley is awesome with her acting choices and delivery, but all the rest is pretty bland. The premise of a Cassie Bowden’s doppelganger is pretty promising, but the writers are alergic to fun with those boring procedural agents investigating and saying a lot of cliches that looks like were written in 30 minutes.
Cassie ruining Shane’s relationship is the biggest proof of that. He could have lied, played like a joke, saying Cassie was drunk while making that assumption, it would add to his character as he tries to avoid Cassie from being a mess and ending up himself being a mess, but no, we gotta be boring because the story needs an empty character talking cliche investigation procedural shenanigans.

Too much information, too much stuff happening, too many characters, too many storylines. Meanwhile, the actual mystery is solved mostly off screen with exposition from Max and Shane.

Not even going to lean into Megan’s arc. It’s just ridiculous.

Not unpopular for me, it really sucks.

I agree 100% with all of the points you make, the acting is fine, the writing is really mediocre and the worst thing about it is how it makes the characters make stupid and not at all believable things just to move the plot forward. That’s like the perfect definition of lazy and bad writing.
The storylines are uninspired, and the show as a whole is not funny enough to be a comedy or to be taken seriously enough to be a drama.
I liked Season 1 despite my bias going in, but after this season 2 I’m done with it.

I don’t disagree, but Cassie’s sobriety journey is an excellent arc. I didn’t enjoy season 1 but pushed through because of Cuoco and same in season 2 plus her wardrobe is amazing ngl.

    A – “Blue Sincerely Reunion”
    B – Yes.
C – Still Zosia Mamet, but she is better in season 1.

Mamet should’ve been nominated over Perez for season 1

    So rounding up:

    (A) Your standout Episode in S2 till now?
    -3 mentions of Episode 4
    -2 mentions of Episode 1
    -2 mentions of Episode 6

    (B) Is S2 > S1 ?
    -2 say Yes
-5 say No (of these five, two add a note that Cuoco is better in S2 though)

-6 mentions of Zosia Mamet (of these six, one adds a note that Mamet is better in S1 though)
    -1 mention of Deniz Akdeniz
