Thought I’d start this thread, does anyone know when the trailer may be released?

I can’t wait! I think with the dialing back on the Trump stuff and the writing off of Rose Leslie’s character, this 4th season will be a lot sharper and focused. Not that last season was bad or anything (there were some powerful moments for sure!), but it wasn’t as tight as Season 2.
I’m hoping for some killer material for Christine Baranski, Delroy Lindo (who is rumored to be a potential Oscar nominee for Spike Lee’s new film next year), Audra McDonald and newcomer John Larroquette! I want them to be so good that the Emmys can’t deny them or the series again (wishful thinking). At least the critics notice.

The fact that Christine Baranski still does not have an Emmy award for her portrayal of Diane Lockhart for the last 11 years, is frankly unacceptable! Along with Baranski, Delroy Lindo, Audra Macdonald and Alan Alda have all given Emmy worthy performances over the first 3 seasons. How this show only has a total of 2 nominations and zero wins to date is downright baffling.
In 2017 & 2018 there were 7 nominees for Outstanding Drama Series, in 2019 there were 8. Someone please explain to me why The Good Fight was not among them?

The voters clearly do not watch CBS All Access or did not check out the strategically-great FYC materials that Good Fight sent in their first two seasons (it seemed to me like they forfeited their attempts in the third season by not sending out anything other than what was bundled in the CBSAA package). Nevertheless, it’s a bit inexplicable that Twilight Zone picks up an unexpected Guest Actor nomination but Alan Alda et al. never did. I’ll keep advocating it in Emmy spotlights–no surprise–presuming the show is as good as it has been in past seasons, but I will not ever predict it for a nomination again until it breaks through.

Disappointing news that the fourth season will be the last for Delroy Lindo:
He’s attached to star in a new pilot and cannot work out the schedule to do both, though he may return as a guest start to Good Fight–or a series regular if the pilot does not go to series. I adore Delroy on the series and hope he gets great material and recognition for his final season on the series.
On a good note, I hope it’s positive news that they’re already discussing contracts for Season 5?

I do appreciate that they are leaving the door open for him to return either full-time (if his new show bombs) or as a guest actor. He has a really strong presence on The Good Fight and as an actor this has been one of Delroy’s best roles/performances to date. It will be sad to see him go.
Speaking of leaving the door open, I’m still holding out hope that Julianna Marguiles will make a guest appearance… maybe even as a surprise this season?? I feel like CBS will want to eventually make that happen to clean-up the PR mess of not willing to pay her enough last year. We shall see.

The Kings very recently said that they would like her to appear, but I don’t know if there’s a salary compromise that Margulies and CBS are willing to make… I seem to remember, though, around the time of Little Mermaid Live that Graham Phillips said he might be doing some Good Fight, so maybe they’re setting the stage for the Florricks to return?

Is Michael J. Fox set to reprise his role from The Good Wife this season? That could be the show’s first acting nom.
I would hope so but doubt it seeming that the show couldn’t get in for Carrie Preston who won for The Good Wife.

Yes, Michael J. Fox is reprising his Louis Canning role this season. John Larroquette and Hugh Dancy join the cast in regular or recurring roles, too.
I’d love to see Fox score a nomination, but like I said earlier in this thread I will not predict this show again until it breaks through. Not only did Carrie Preston miss, but so did three-time Good Wife nominee Dylan Baker, plus high(er) profile guests Margo Martindale and Alan Alda and, just last year, Tituss Burgess.
At this rate, I fully expect Baranski to earn a nomination for HBO’s Gilded Age before Good Fight.
