I like the recent episode. We get another glimpse on Elaine May as RBG. I’m liking Wanda Sykes’ character.

Definitely a slight episode – even its run time is almost a third shorter than the others – but a good one nonetheless. I’ll always be glad for more of Elaine May, and I really liked the first few scenes with Wanda Sykes. I can’t imagine her character staying at the firm unless they plan to bring Sykes on as a regular for Season 6, but I imagine she’ll be significant to the end game of the season. I think I’m most relieved that Diane and Liz finally made the very-obvious decision to bring in another named partner, which I think could’ve mitigated a lot of their angst from the get-go, though it would’ve deprived us from two excellent episodes. Poor Julius can’t stay out of legal jeopardy. Also hilarious that they used some of the Good Fight score in the edit for Wackner Rules.
Only two episodes left and we’ve yet to see Alan Alda or CCH Pounder.

Again, it was not the best episode, but it was the one they took more risks, specifically in the main plot of the episode (the Julius one).August 14, 2021 at 2:35 am #1204396471
Girl I’m a bit behind but that Ep 7 was HILARIOUS, the callback to 1st season The Good Wife 💀
This season might be the series best.August 14, 2021 at 3:29 am #1204396486
I watched episode 8 and i feel like they are building up both stories way too high and i don’t know if they’re gonna deliver at the end.
Something’s gotta happen with how big of a issue this Wackner’s court is becoming and Liz/Diane Feud is probably not going to be settle so easily, i sense more things to come, i hope they land it safe and good.August 14, 2021 at 6:13 am #1204396568
Wackner: No, no, no
Diane: Yes, yes, yes
I know I wasn’t supposed to but that interaction made me cackle.
Not the season’s best episode but still a great one. I liked the absurdity of the Julian storyline.

I want to know what Wackner did before his fake court. Did he escape nut house.
I shouldn’t enjoy Julious fluster as much as I do. But every time he gets in trouble , I know I’m in for good time.
interesting to see where they go with Wanda Sykes character.August 15, 2021 at 2:57 am #1204397666
I absolutely love this season. What is it with the Good universe and absolutely killing it on Season 5?
This episode was probably for me the weakest of the season. I’m curious as to how they’re going to wrap up the Wackner storyline in the next two episodes, and where they’re taking Marissa from here. I was afraid when I heard about this storyline that this was going to be another Michael Sheen situation (who really soured me on S3) and have been so pleasantly surprised; the storyline has been fantastic, but I assume we’re going to a darker place in the last 2 eps with it.
It feels a little like the Liz mentoring Carmen strand (who with Jay has barely been in the past two episodes) has been dropped.
I agree that a third partner should have just been the solution from the start. I can never get enough of Wanda Sykes, but she’s so booked and busy that I have to assume she’s not going to be a permanent fixture, and we’re three eps away from the end of the season so bringing her in at this late stage feels a little late? But I shouldn’t doubt the Kings at this point.August 19, 2021 at 1:16 pm #1204405200
I don’t know why, but I loved this week’s episode. It was amazing!August 19, 2021 at 4:21 pm #1204405416
Wanda Sykes is a gift and I need her to become a regular in the next season because she is way too funny to lose after a few episodes. Allegra forming a trio with Liz and Diane is what we deserve.
Also desperately need to see Marissa go back to the firm properly and leave Wackner’s court behind but I have a feeling that’s a guaranteed outcome.August 19, 2021 at 7:58 pm #1204405740
This episode was a major rebound from last week, and I didn’t even dislike that one. I think this week really nailed what they were trying to do with Julius last time, showing how Wackner’s unofficial court is given legitimacy because of the bureaucratic dead-ends of the real system. Tying Wackner’s court to Rivi’s business as a way to wind down the season is really smart, and you just know the court is going down in a blaze next week in the finale. I’ll be very sad to see Mandy leave the show if they can’t find a way to repurpose the character, but it’ll be smart to contain his court to just one season before it overstays its welcome. Wanda Sykes was excellent here and I’m absolutely loving her character. They framed her as eccentric, but I like that Allegra has some real legal and business savvy. Please make her a regular next season. Also, what a brilliant way to utilize CCH Pounder. Those scenes were hilarious and very smart. I hope they stick the landing next week, and I’ll be sad to see this extraordinary season of television end.

I really need Wanda Sykes to return next season too. And as much as I love Mandy Patinkin, I don’t think it’d be a good idea to continue this plot next season because it would become very repetitive.
(Please, bring back Carrie Preston, Michael J. Fox, Alan Alda next season – as actors. And I still need Alan Cumming to return for one episode, even if it’s just a cameo)August 20, 2021 at 12:03 pm #1204406903

Robert King tweeted that Alda is guest-starring this season, so I guess he must be in the finale next week?
