I’ll pick three per category (except for lead actress ‘cuz queens), but two as honorable mentions! I’ll also just go by their latest Emmy placements, because it’s easier. I’ve only actively started watching TV in 2018 so most of my picks will probably be from the 2010s FYI!

Lead Actor in a Drama Series Brian Cox, Succession

Honorable Mentions: Billy Porter (Pose) & Anthony Hopkins (Westworld)

Lead Actress in a Drama Series Carrie Coon, The Leftovers

Honorable Mentions: Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel), Olivia Colman (Broadchurch) & Eva Green (Penny Dreadful)

Supporting Actor in a Drama SeriesJohn Noble, Fringe

Honorable Mentions: Jonathan Tucker (Kingdom) & Michael Emerson (Person of Interest)

Supporting Actress in a Drama SeriesLena Headey, Game of Thrones

Honorable Mentions: Regina King (The Leftovers) & Abigail Spencer (Rectify)

Lead Actor in a Comedy SeriesHank Azaria, Brockmire

Honorable Mentions: Chris Geere (You’re the Worst) & Christopher Meloni (Happy!)

Lead Actress in a Comedy SeriesAya Cash, You’re the Worst

Honorable Mentions: Lisa Kudrow (The Comeback) & Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep)

Supporting Actor in a Comedy SeriesNicholas Hoult, The Great

Honorable Mentions: Timothy Omundson (Galavant) & John Early (Search Party)

Supporting Actress in a Comedy SeriesRita Moreno, One Day at a Time

Sandra Oh in Grey’s Anatomy. By far. The fact that she wasn’t featured 99% of these lists is quite alarming.

    FYC 2022 Emmys:

Best Actress in a Drama Series: Sandra Oh in "Killing Eve"

Best Actress in a Comedy Series: Sandra Oh in "The Chair"

Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series: Kim Joo-ryoung in "Squid Game"

The objectively correct answer, male or female, lead or supporting, is Carrie Coon in THE LEFTOVERS. Sorry to everyone else who’s wrong. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
