That’s a hard date. They’re going to have House of The Dragon and Lord of The Rings running concurrent (that said, if any Hulu show has a fighting chance, it’s them).

I thought they could make 2022 if they wanted but I presumed it would be a bit later.

It’s probably good they are not having a large time gap between the last season and this one. Will probably help in both it’s viewership and awards chances.

I suspect Handmaid’s being on also generally boosts viewership of everything around it, as well. I am convinced that Aidy Bryant benefited from that with the Shrill nom that almost no one predicted last year.

feels super timely given the current fight for women’s bodies, so it makes sense to come out asap, regardless of awards or whatever.

if it’s an 11 week season like S3, it would end on thanksgiving eve, which would be…interesting. not really a family gathering show.
oh wait, article says it’ll have a 2 episode premiere rather than the usual 3. so i guess it’ll be 9 or 12 weeks.

I always get excited when I see this show get an official release date announced but then I realise it’ll be around four months before it actually airs over here.

Isn’t it still their only show to crack the Nielsen streaming top ten?

Candy and Nine Perfect Strangers just did it. I don’t think any other Hulu show has made it in the general streaming top 10 though.
