Can’t watch it, because D+ is not avaliable in my country, but just by looking at my twitter tmieline I need to ask…does this show has anything else to offer other than baby Yoda? lol

This show is awesome. I’m no Star Wars fan, but this show is my favorite out now for the moment. I feel like Xena: Warrior Princess was somewhat of an inspiration for Mandalorian.
I feel like it’s Star Wars mixed with the Terminator.
ReplyCopy URLAugust 18, 2020 at 10:05 am #1203652712Lies. Honestly, with how dark this looks, it can definitely get into the Drama categories next year. Game of Thrones was thought of as a show that could never get into the Emmys before the show came out based on its Season 1 trailer. If GoT and Stranger Things can do it, so can this. And don’t underestimate Jon Favreau as he’s a visual genius. People have been waiting for Star Wars to go dark since Rogue One and no one had the guts to do it. He’s going there with this show. If this gets high enough ratings, it’ll sneak in. People have been eager for a Game of Thrones replacement and this might be it. People just assume because it’s Disney + that their programming is going to be just a bunch of G-Rated nonsense but this trailer proves that that’s not the direction they are headed.
ReplyCopy URLAugust 18, 2020 at 10:52 am #1203652767Season 2 should have even more nominations considering the possibility that most of the favorites (Succession, Ozark, etc) will not be able to return in time.

I agree (although I doubt it breaks through in acting considering how pact the acting categories seem to be even if Succession and/or Ozark miss).
Not trying to be rude, but don’t be delusional, this isn’t an above the line contender at all
This isn’t happening at awards except for technical categories.
I would, everyone is looking for the next game of thrones but these types of shows still don’t do that well with awards. Got, Stranger Things and Westworld are the exception not the rule. Of course that shows they’re becoming more open to these types of shows but I think we’re still at least a few years away from something like this being able to get above the line nominations.
Rachel shall we both collaborate on setting up a club and invite people who were called delusional with their predictions and proven to be right with their predictions to join?

ReplyCopy URLSeptember 15, 2020 at 3:41 pm #1203708799Rumor has it that Pedro Pascal was let go/quit while filming and he will not have as much screen time as he normally has. The rumor is that he was unhappy about not showing his face throughout season 2. Brought to you by Grace Randolph from Beyond The Trailer.
ReplyCopy URLSeptember 15, 2020 at 3:55 pm #1203708836The season 2 trailer was about as great as I expected to to be. Was expecting to see Moff Gideon and Ahsoka, but the fact that they didn’t show up means they must be end-of-season treats. I just hope they keep the small scale and self-contained nature of the first season, without too many connections to other Star Wars stories.

Grace loves to stir up drama. Pedro was not being diva. He injured himself during filming. He was not let go nor did he quit.

I’m pretty sure she’s playing Sabine Wren so hopefully, she gets a lot of screentime.

She never said he was being a diva. She agreed that there should be scenes with him not wearing his helmet. I do as well.
Lately, her tea has been right on, although I agree that she can be a drama queen at times.
