Another tense episode. Sabrina Impacciatore was MVP for me, really happy she finally had her moment to shine this season!

She had so little to do all season and then this past episode she practically broke my heart. When she learned about the coworkers engagement she showed so much while doing so little, and then seeing her softer side with Mia at the bar put that character in a completely new light. I would love if this was just a gentle coming out later in life storyline amid all the chaos around her and nothing bad happened to her, but we’ll see lol.

I agree with everyone that Sabrina Impacciatore is the MVP, so subtle but heartbreaking. I’m really wondering whose going to die, hopefully Greg

Ethan’s jealousy and mental breaking down was effective, and probably Will Sharpe’s best tape so far. Finally some needed character development with Valentina and Mia, so that was nice to see happen. Tanya’s cocaine-fueled descent was wild, and I think she was being videotaped. Jennifer Coolidge was amazing again tonight. I was scared for Portia the entire time, but I knew Lucia would make it. Loveddd the scene with the Di Grasso men and those scary Italian women lol! Still can’t get over Quentin’s Brokeback cowboy is GREG??? Like, wut? Whenever fan Twitter calls something immediately early, I become disappointed. I thought for sure his love & beauty monologue last episode was metaphorical, not literal. That was definitely Jon Gries in the picture frame. Whatever, bring on the season finale. There are way too many loose ends to tie up. Hope things aren’t too overstuffed, but it’s blocked off for 80 minutes. I’m more than ready for the murder resolution now.

With the party stuff plus the breakfast scene with Portia this was Coolidge’s best episode of the series imo.

But right now I’d say the majority of the cast is doing award worthy work. I’ve said it before but the performances are just so detailed. Even the less showy characters like F Murray Abraham’s and Adam DiMarco’s are just played to perfection.

I didn’t like the CC nomination, I probably would like to see there Plaza, for example. But don’t worry, Globes probably will make justice for that.

ReplyCopy URLDecember 6, 2022 at 11:57 pm #1205181344God, this season could EASILY take up five spots in supporting actress again, and it’d be insanely deserving. Coolidge, Fahy, Impacciatore, Plaza, and Richardson have all been simply EXCEPTIONAL. Wouldn’t mind seeing Tabasco slip into one of those slots either.
Abraham and Imperioli have been amazing as well. Woodall also really surprised me this past episode with his drunk monologue, just made me feel sick to my stomach in all the best ways.
In my opinion, this is a step up from season one. Definitely not as funny, but everything feels like it has such rich layers, and I truly have no idea where anyone will end up when the finale’s credits roll.

The line of the TV season so far for me.

December 7, 2022 at 4:07 pm #1205182221Will almost certainly end up regretting this, but I’m calling Portia, Nonno, and Harper as the dead bodies. Won’t write an essay as to why/how I think it’ll go down, but with what’s been set up, I think they make the most narrative sense and have the most potential for emotional impact on the other characters.

December 7, 2022 at 4:24 pm #1205182239Ugh this season! Exceptional. Better than the first, I’d dare to say. There’s something about this cast that is just so… *chef’s kiss*
Plaza, Fahy, Impacciatore, Coolidge and Abraham need Emmy nominations please!
