True but even the A-List talent involved in the prior two seasons have been left-of-centre stars; Coolidge was in the wilderness for years; Sweeney was still on the rise; Britton is far more associated as a television actor; James was a pretty boy with multiple flops; Plaza hadn’t had this widely seen role in a decade. Even the two most traditional big names signings, Abraham and Imperioli, are so defined by one character for decades, The White Lotus is arguably the first time they’ve that a second project will be guaranteed a mention in the first line of their obituaries.

Mike White projects has historically been vehicles for underused/under appreciated actresses at the time (Dern, Shannon, Hayek, Temple), so getting A-Listers at their peak right now would be so atypical to everything we know both about the show and White.

I hope there’s another Daddario/Fahy. An actress who’s either relatively unknown to most or has just been underutilized that’s given the chance to sink their teeth into a real juicy role. I think Dianna Agron would be a perfect fit for Mike White’s world, especially after seeing her in Shiva Baby.

Other names I’d like to see that I think are somewhat realistic.

I think Lisa Kudrow is pretty much the best person I can think of who could fill the Coolidge shaped hole in the show.

Debra Messing would be great as well.

Also, I’m not just mentioning her because she’s in the news right now, but I lowkey think Gwyneth Paltrow would kill it. Especially after her performance in The Politician.
