Andor is also in a close #4, this is going to be a tight race!

Andor Abbott Elementary Barry The Bear Better Call Saul Interview with the Vampire The Rehearsal Pachinko Severance The White Lotus Can see this being our unranked top 10.
So…Interview with the Vampire and The White Lotus underperformed, especially the latter to my surprise. Maybe it picks up steam after Sunday’s finale? Abbott disappointed in a way as well after I expected it to place near the top.
Reservation Dogs holding on with critics is a good thing. Felt it could go either way. Did not expect Bad Sisters or House of the Dragon to compete for a top ten slot; bodes well for them at the upcoming industry awards.

House of the Dragon’s high placement proves it. It being anywhere near the top ten is extremely baffling otherwise.

ReplyCopy URLDecember 7, 2022 at 8:24 am #1205181523I’m pretty sure this was included in Metacritic’s aggregate last year with the same format, but this “list” is formatted in a weird way. Instead of listing the shows, this is just an article that overviews the year in TV and bolds the names of the TV shows he discusses, so it’s hard to tell if Anderson’s just talking about them or if he’s actually endorsing them as best of the year. I was about to just list out the bolded shows, but the page reloaded and now there’s a paywall I can’t get past. If anyone has access to it and wants to list out the shows, I’d appreciate it a lot! Otherwise Metacritic will tell us what shows they’re selecting from it soon anyways, so it’s not too big of a deal.
