I really am curious to see how Reservation Dogs fares on the aggregate. I feel like some critics have dropped it from their lists altogether whilst others have kept it in the same fairly high positions they had last year in spite of the strong competition overall.
P-Valley and The White Lotus are the two shows that Berman has dropped from her list last time round (although the latter could just be because it’s still airing). Better Call Saul was no.2 last time round behind I May Destroy You.

November 30, 2022 at 7:06 am #1205171436Wow I love this list. Was Made for Love on her list last year as well? Berman’s been an outspoken champion for it in her review, best of the month list and mid-year list, so I wasn’t surprised to see it hear but I feel like it’s not going to show up on any other lists.
Reservation Dogs is weird, I feel like some critics are obsessed with it while others that are maybe more focused on popular/genre TV (like a lot of the other lists we’ve seen so far) have probably not even watched this season. My thought that it would do really well this year was from Alan Sepinwall and Dan Feinberg both expressing that they wanted to put it as number 1 on their lists back when it finished airing, but they’ve also put stuff like For All Mankind and Lovecraft Country in their top 3 that hasn’t had much play on a lot of lists.

No. It looks like Derry Girls wasn’t on her list for its previous season either.

What We Do in the ShadowsShe also singled out Kindred and The White Lotus as having really good starts, but she didn’t feel comfortable adding them to the list without seeing their seasons in full.

Into the water, into the truth, in your reflection, he lives in you.November 30, 2022 at 8:50 am #1205171565So happy it’s doing well, I heard one or two critics say they’re planning to exclude it because they felt the last episode was unethical (I don’t agree personally, I think it’s the risk inherent in having child actors at all) so I’m very happy to see all this love for it. I still can’t stop thinking about the fourth episode.
