Yes. 🙁 I personally voted for it in Series, Supporting Actress and Directing. I think recency bias might have worked in. Lynch was leading early but then fell out. She was 11th at the end after Borstein and Krakowski.

I don’t think Glee has aged terribly well either.

I don’t mind but why is there a cap on Drama votes as opposed to comedy?

Because of the way all of the acting nominees were shows with tremendous visibility made me change the pattern with Drama else we’d have something like Succession occupying 3 supporting acting spots or Game Of Thrones getting a lot of coattails like it did at the Emmys. Like in the Comedy one, Modern Family got 5 of its actors in (almost 6) and Fleabag got everything it was up for.

I’m just trying to get a better system and see what works and what doesn’t. CLEARLY the unlimited ballot is unfair to smaller shows. This thread is a fun exercise, kind of like a Gold Derby poll of their preference.

I’m also thinking of doing Comedy 1995-2006 (just before the 30 Rock-Modern Family era) where the shows were Frasier, Seinfeld, Friends, The Office, Everybody Loves Raymond, Sex And The City, Will & Grace, Desperate Housewives etc.

    Emmy FYC
    -Severance in all categories.
    -Ted Lasso in all categories.
    -The Dropout in all categories.

-Jennifer Coolidge, Connie Britton, Margaret Qualley, Colin Firth
-Jung Ho-Yeon, Lee Yoo-Mi, Sarah Snook, Laura Linney.
-Jean Smart, Kaley Cuoco, Juno Temple, Sarah Lancashire and Martin Short.

Eight is still enough that if you really want to go all in on a show you can.

That’s also true but with a limit of 8 votes, one will likely be more careful while casting a vote.

If I learned anything about GoldDerby it is that Ann Dowd will probably get the most votes in her category.

Parks and Recreation missing across the board…

    Parks and Recreation

    I know y’all are joking.

I blame it being moved to Peacock, people aren’t binging it like they used to

I am really fascinated as to how the GoT supp actress votes pan out (I have what I suspect is an unpopular theory)

I didn’t vote for a single GoT actor outside of Dinklage. But I suspect my ballot not aligning much with the results.

That list of Drama Supporting Actresses, my my! It’s brutal one has to choose only 8

FYC: "This Is Us", "The Good Fight", "Severance" & "Hacks" in all categories.

Juliette Lewis ("Yellowjackets "), Mandy Moore ("This Is Us"), Kavyan Novak ("What We Do In The Shadows "), Edie Falco ("Impeachment: American Crime Story"), Drew Tarver & Heléne Yorke ("The Other Two")

Ikr. There’s three from The Crown alone I was inclined to vote for but had to go with just Anderson in the end to make way for actresses from other shows.

    In case of confusion,

    For Downton Abbey,
    Episode 207 is S2 Ep 07.
    Episode 304 is S3 Ep 04.
    Episode 401 is S4 Ep 01.
    And so on.
