Some shows don’t deserve reboots. Especially ones whose last episode was a generation ago. SERIOUSLY?

I don’t think this is as unpopular as you think it is.

One of the cons of tape system.

I think it’s unpopular to say he’s the best one on BrBa considering Paul won 3 Emmys for it and his performance is often named as one of the best of all time.
I have nothing against Giancarlo personally of course and in a sense I’m glad he’s getting recognition for Saul because (as mentioned above by another user) he was phenomenal on Breaking Bad but I feel like aside from season 4 there’s not been a single instance where he’s been in the top 3 for me of supporting actors on the show.
ReplyCopy URLJuly 4, 2022 at 12:03 pm #1205003456A lot of people were predicting and calling for Esposito to win back when season 3 & 4 aired. Many people were upset when Paul won over him in season 4 as well. That’s all I meant.
Also, there was recently a highly upvoted thread on the BCS subreddit (as well as multiple comments about it in the episode discussions) about how much they dislike his performance in the show and essentially said what you’re saying.
I disagree that he was the best supporting performance on Breaking Bad but I only know it’s not unpopular because I read it being said a ton since season three. You can even see it here in this thread.
I always felt the way people now feel about Gus in BCS now. I just never found him to be worthy of the hype he got. I don’t think he even deserved a nomination. I would venture that is the more unpopular opinion.
ReplyCopy URLJuly 7, 2022 at 8:11 am #1205005685I don’t know if this comes under unpopular as it’s more just an observation but I find it funny with Schitt’s Creek how Catherine O’Hara, despite giving a groundbreaking all-time great performance, is the only one of the cast who ended up winning without a dynamite episode submission. Of course this is because tapes don’t matter anymore so what they submitted became irrelevant but it’s still strange for me as I genuinely consider each of the other three to have technically won for each of their best single episode performances on the show. I guess it’s kind of nice in a way as O’Hara never needed extra validation so it’s cute to see the others win for their highs.

ReplyCopy URLJuly 7, 2022 at 3:39 pm #1205006211Who the hell is watching Succession for anything “moving” exactly?
ReplyCopy URLJuly 7, 2022 at 3:44 pm #1205006224Stranger Things stopped being bold seasons ago. They don’t even have the balls to kill one of its main characters.
Also, Succession is not supposed to be moving lmao. On the contrary.
ReplyCopy URLJuly 7, 2022 at 4:01 pm #1205006251Every show is supposed to be moving and even Succession is it in some occasions – the last 5 minutes of season 3 were moving. You all think that by moving I mean something like “The Notebook”, please, don’t simplify things so much.
Stranger Things stopped being bold seasons ago. They don’t even have the balls to kill one of its main characters.
They don’t need to do it, the deaths of Eddie and Chrissy were enough to destroy many hearts. To kill main characters got old ages ago.
This is Us has nothing original in it.
The entire structure of the show is much more original than anything Succession did on season 3.
ReplyCopy URLJuly 7, 2022 at 4:13 pm #1205006259Succession season 3 is a second hand store. Two of their episodes are copy/paste of previous episodes: Too Much Birthday is a copy of Prague and Retired Janitors of Idaho is a copy of Tern Haven (asa a structure and means to tell the story). Many others storylines or particular moments are a repetition of an old ones. The whole structure of the season if a rehash of the previous one.
