I just think that Stranger Thing is made to be watched with zero cynicism present, that’s the key. I, as the majority of viewers, enjoyed all the arcs (some more than others of course) precisely because I as able to remove my cynicism completely.

Julia Garner, Rhea Seehorn and Sarah Snook should all be competing in lead this year for their shows.

FYC: Better Call Saul, The English and The Good Fight in all categories including Emily Blunt, Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.

The large number of acting Emmy Awards categories and the large number of nominees per category radically dilutes the prestige and value of winning or being nominated for an Emmy Award. It’s ridiculous that over 50 actors have 10 or more Emmy nominations; in contrast, there are only 5 actors who have 10 or more Oscar nominations, and the Oscar Awards are 20 years “older” than the Emmy Awards (1929 vs. 1949.)

Emmys clearly uses namecheck and when they love a show, they nominate it in every category even if it’s not deserving. They don’t actually reward quality or performances and that’s why they become irrelevant.

Sadie sink was good in 404 but not good enough to be nommed. She is going to win lot of emmys and hopefully oscars in her future so her stans need to let this one go.   She will be fine.

If you generally skim written reviews and Gold Derby odds, predictions and TV forum comments, the less TV you actually watch increases the quality of your predictions because you are less influenced by and committed to personal preferences, and more dispassionate and realistic in making your predictions.
