We are working on building the event for you to vote in the 2022 Gold Derby TV Awards. In the meantime, we need your help.

What are your 5 choices for Comedy Episode of the Year (rank them #1, #2, #3, #4, #5)?

What are your 5 choices for Drama Episode of the Year (rank them #1, #2, #3, #4, #5)?

Send your ballot as follows by June 12 (do not post your ballot in this thread):

If your user name begins with A-G, send to Luca Giliberti by private message.

If your user name begins with H-N, send to Kevin Jacobsen by private message.

If your user name begins with O-Z or a number/symbol, send to Tony Ruiz by private message.

Each of those three people will post in this thread so that you can easily click their name to send the private message.

We follow Emmy guidelines on how to categorize genres, so you must submit your choices in the proper categories. Don’t submit an official drama as a comedy; don’t submit an official comedy as a drama; don’t submit a limited series as a drama. They will not be counted. Since animated series can submit episodes in the comedy category, you can do that as well.

After we run calculations, the top 30 for each category will be available for the nominations phase when we start voting on the Gold Derby TV Awards in mid-June.

Thank you as ever for doing this. I’m not sure if it’s a testament to how strong the field is this year or how much television there has been this year that for the first time ever when long-listing my picks (before cutting them down to the required number of submissions permissible for the episode of the year categories) that I not only went past 10 episodes for the first time in the comedy field but got to 16 episodes I had to narrow down!

Anyway just wanted to FYC these two episodes!

Comedy Episode of the Year

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (“How Do You Get to Carnegie Hall?”)

Drama Episode of the Year

Severance (“The We We Are”)

I’m guessing we can’t submit international series that haven’t aired in the US for this, can we? (because if we can, FYC both the second and final episode of Derry Girls!)
