Succession is sweeping in all categories next year. When they love a show and this show has no competition, they give it everything (see how The Crown went 7/7 + Guest Actress)

Snook would have won last year then!

Well, what prevented it from winning supporting races last year?

I think it helps that The Crown had several Names while Succession’s cast is comprised largely of people unknown to most.

Put Colman in a good role and she will win (The Crown) or potentially cancel out her costar (Fleabag)

Supporting actor also had vote splitting. And Garner was also the defending champion (I mean, she beat 4 GoT actress and Fiona Shaw in a year she was double nominated).

Succession hasn’t peaked with actors yet, and with next year’s field looking hella empty, i think they will add a few trophies.
I just wish someone non white wins because it was depressing this year.

This felt like it really lent in to TV vets (not just by age) and not shiny new stars or potential movie star breakouts.  Nicholson, Peters, Menzies etc have been around for forever.

Snook neither got in for S1 anywhere and lost with no vote split last year.

Is there any black woman competing next year for Lead Actress in Drama Series? I can only think of Zendaya, but I feel like she’s not going to win again. Sarah Snook will still be in supporting category, but I feel Baranski is coming for that category, and yeah, I feel like Coon as a lead will be a major threat.

I still can’t believe they deny MKW this year.

"The Lost Daughter" in every eligible category - Film
"Succession" Season 3 in every eligible category - TV
"Heaux Tales" by Jasmine Sullivan in every eligible category - Music

That Brett Goldstein will be a back to back winner.

I actually can’t think about any black or non white potential winner at all in all 12
Lead Actress we could have Sandra Oh, but this year proved narrative don’t matter, same goes for Issa Rae in comedy.

Olivia Colman was probably very strong last year and Zendaya still managed to triumph. This + the inevitable backlash to the all white winners makes me think Zendaya can win again.

Academy award winner and 2x emmy winner NicoLEGEND Kidman
    Future EGOTer GODlivia Rodrigo

Zendaya. Possibly Aunjanue Ellis for 61st Street for AMC (not sure if she’s supporting or lead), but I don’t like AMC’s chances the way they’re closing ranks around the bigger streamers. They like her though.

Ted Lasso also 100% also need to be at the very least submitting Sarah Niles and Toheeb Jimoh for S2.

    Also:

The years of GoT dominance might have given the false impression that VFX/special effects was more important than it was when it was more likely solid costumes, production design, and cinematography, something most of the winners since have all been pretty strong in.
