I think The Queen’s Gambit pushes out Bridgerton, although I suspect Rege-Jean Page still gets in. Wandavision probably pushes out The Boys. Mare pushes out This Is Us. I May Destroy You possibly pushes out Pose. Given how female led much of the limited is it creates a very stacked lead actress race but probably doesn’t change lead actor all that much and we maybe get a lot of one-above-the-line entrants.

I have to say I think The Underground Railroad misses.

    So in summary:

    Disney: Wandavision, The Mandalorian

Netflix: The Queen’s Gambit, The Crown

HBO: I May Destroy You, Mare of Easttown, Lovecraft Country

    Hulu: The Handmaid’s Tale.

I think despite the lack of associated acting noms I think The Mandalorian has strong support outside of just the actors and gets through anyway.

Bridgerton – The Crown – The Handmaid’s Tale – I May Destroy You – The Mandalorian – Mare of Easttown – The Queen’s Gambit – WandaVision Spoiler: Lovecraft Country

Yeah this is 7 of my 8. I do think had everything gone in to drama campaigning for Lovecraft might have been considerably muted.

She’s a legend but who would she even bump out in that lineup? I guess you could say Colman but she did get in over her last year and her show is winning drama series so I do think that when it came to the nomination she was probably ahead of her (Moss is comfortably ahead of Colman in the win this year though).

The other five performers in that hypothetical lineup feel much stronger.

A Brit (and I’m married to one, so it’s not a slight). Them voting in five Brits seems statistically unlikely in lead. They never go that heavy on Brits in Lead for Comedy or Drama.

I believe it would be 7 in the lead categories. There were 51 submissions in limited/movie actor this year and you need a total of 240 or more to get 8 slots (161 to 240 submissions for 7 slots).

t’s also worth pointing out that WandaVision would have competed as a comedy like it did at the TCA, not as a drama.

It competed in drama at TCA.

I think Olsen would miss because in that scenario if voters still watched the fourth season Moss is still undeniable but who knows lmao.

It competed in drama at TCA.

Wow, don’t know how I screwed that up. In that case, probably something like this.

    Drama Series

    1. The Queen’s Gambit
    2. The Crown
    3. Mare of Easttown
    4. I May Destroy You
    5. WandaVision
    6. The Mandalorian
    7. The Handmaid’s Tale
    8. Lovecraft Country

    Drama Actress

    1. Kate Winslet
    2. Anya Taylor-Joy
    3. Michaela Coel
    4. Emma Corrin
    5. Elisabeth Moss
    6. Elizabeth Olsen
    7. Olivia Colman

    Drama Actor

    1. Josh O’Connor
    2. Billy Porter
    3. Leslie Odom Jr.
    4. Lin-Manuel Miranda
    5. Paul Bettany
    6. Rege-Jean Page
    7. Jonathan Majors

    Drama Supporting Actress

    1. Gillian Anderson
    2. Kathryn Hahn
    3. Julianne Nicholson
    4. Jean Smart
    5. Samira Wiley
    6. Helena Bonham Carter
    7. Renee Elise Goldsberry
    8. Ann Dowd

    Drama Supporting Actor

    1. Daveed Diggs
    2. Evan Peters
    3. Michael Kenneth Williams
    4. Tobias Menzies
    5. Bradley Whitford
    6. O-T Fagbenle
    7. Pappa Essiedu
    8. Thomas Brodie-Sangster

    Drama Writing

    1. I May Destroy You (not sure which episode)
    2. The Queen’s Gambit (not sure which episode)
    3. Mare of Easttown (not sure which episode)
    4. The Crown, War
    5. The Handmaid’s Tale, Home
    6. The Mandalorian, Chapter 16: The Rescue
    7. The Mandalorian, Chapter 13: The Jedi
    8. WandaVision, Previously On

    Drama Directing

    1. The Queen’s Gambit (not sure which episode)
    2. The Crown, Fairytale
    3. The Crown, War
    4. The Mandalorian, Chapter 9: The Marshall
    5. Mare of Easttown (not sure which episode)
    6. I May Destroy You, Ego Death
    7. WandaVision (not sure which episode)
    8. The Handmaid’s Tale, The Wilderness

The big loser here seems to be Pose, which would go from getting into series, both lead categories, writing, and directing to just getting a lone lead nom for Billy Porter again.

I think Pose was above Lovecraft Country…

LC did very well and all, but Pose getting Directing + Writing tops everything else LC achieved IMO.

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

Lovecraft had more acting support in the end tho and made casting over Pose which usually tends to align with the series top 5. That’s without mentioning the tech support the show has. I think it might be even ahead of Bridgerton at this point.

A Negroni. Sbagliato. With Prosecco in it.

Would be 4 that made drama and the big 4 of the limited

    I think it would be

    Bridgerton
    The Crown
    The Mandalorian
    I May Destroy You
    The Queen’s Gambit
    Mare of Easttown
    Wandavision
    The Handmaids Tale

Pose or Lovecraft would be 9th

    – Marielle Heller/Weruche Opia

I only disagree with them. If they unfortunately couldn’t get in over Goldsberry and Soo in reality, why would they here?
