What Surprises Would You Love to See Happen This Year?

At last year’s Emmy we saw many shocks and surprises on the Comedy side where Schitt’s Creek broke through with three above the line nominations and on the Drama side where shows like Homecoming were shut out completely and shows like Bodyguard and Pose only got one other above the line nomination to their series nomination.

So what surprises would you like to see this time.

Here is what I would love to see happen in Drama as surprises:

• Big Little Lies – Supporting Actress (Woodley), Actress (Witherspoon)
• Mr Robot – Drama Actor, Drama Writing
• The Affair – Drama Series, Actress, Actor, Supporting Actress, Guest Actress
• Succession – Supporting Actress (Cameron), Supporting Actress (Hunter)
• Stranger Things – Supporting Actress (Hawke)
• The Good Fight – Drama Series, Actress (Baranski), Supporting Actress (Jumbo), Supporting Actor (Lindo), Guest Actor (Fox), Writing
• His Dark Materials – Drama Supporting Actress (Wilson), Supporting Actor (McAvoy)

FYC: Better Call Saul, The English and The Good Fight in all categories including Emily Blunt, Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.

He should win tbh. He’s amazing in all comedic and dramatic arcs/ scenes and the music adds a little somethin’ to his character and the show. If the show was well received as a whole, he’d be well positioned to win. I hope he gets a TCA nom. I’m not kidding, this is one of the best performances of the year.
