I think the biggest shock would be something like “What We Do In The Shadows” last year. A great, critically acclaimed show, but not so popular, getting nominations for series and writing, and snubbed by the acting branch.

Emily in Paris made it, but not in the same way as WWDITS.

Make us happy and ignore the Hamilton cast 🙂

That truly made me sad.. the whole supporting acting categories in Limited Series was weird. But I do feel very happy for Evan Peters

The biggest shock this year is The Flight Attendant getting snubbed in main title design.

    FYC:

"The Good Fight" and "The Other Two" in all categories.

I think the biggest WOW! wasn’t expecting that shock for me was Aidy Bryant for Shrill, but I’m also 100% happy with it.

I hadn’t even noticed on the ballot that they’d submitted Philippa Soo in Supporting when she was nominated in Lead at the Tonys. That feels particularly annoying to me.

The biggest shock this year was Ethan Hawke’s snub. I’m still reeling from it.

I think most people would be shocked by this but I’m actually predicting both Bill Camp and Marielle Heller to miss. They seem like Jane Lynch in MMM, Jonathan Banks in BCS, TBN in Watchmen, and Rose Byrne in Mrs. A… I wasnt that impressed with either of their performances. They were good not great. As far as film performances go, I’d compare them to MJB in Mudbound and Richard Jenkins in TSoW.

I don’t often toot my own horn, but I’d like to point out that I NAILED THIS ON THE HEAD!

At least for me, the biggest shock was finding out that the Emmy voters didn’t actually watch or like more than 4 comedies this year, causing nothing except those 4 shows+Black-ish (which I’m pretty confident they’re just nominating because it was nominated before, not because they still watch it) to get more than a couple Emmy nominations.

I don’t often toot my own horn, but I’d like to point out that I NAILED THIS ON THE HEAD!

    Nice!

Biggest shock that wasn’t a shock at the same time was Emily in Paris getting nominated for Best Comedy Series.

Somewhat ironically, the one category where nomination leader WandaVision didn’t get nominated.

    Oscars FYC:

"Lamb" – International Feature and all categories

"Summer of Soul" – Picture, Film Editing and Documentary Feature

“The Green Knight” – in all categories
