The TV categories are known for being crazy and different from the emmys. So whats your riskiest nominations? It can also be your riskiest shutout.

Predictions that aren’t in the predictions center top 7:

    DRAMA SERIES: P-Valley
    COMEDY SERIES: Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist
COMEDY ACTOR: Nicholas Hoult (this one won’t apply for long)
LIMITED SERIES: The Good Lord Bird
    LIMITED ACTOR: Jeremy Pope
SUPPORTING ACTOR: Jim Parsons, Christian Slater
SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Letitia Wright, Fiona Shaw

Matthew MacFadyen getting a reactionary nomination for Quiz as a result of his Emmy nomination for Succession à la Kathy Bates.

When did this happen to Kathy Bates? Unless you’re referring to her winning the Emmy and getting nominated for the Globe just for different seasons of AHS.

I’m currently thinking Hawke is winning GG but missing SAG.

"The Good Fight" and "The Other Two" in all categories.

One of the five people predicting Holland Taylor for a GG nom.  I have wanted to replace her but at this point kinda think why not?

I don’t know but a lineup of Grant-Hawke-Jackman-Mescal-Ruffalo seems too safe to me. Perhaps the upset is someone like Jude Law or Bryan Cranston instead of MacFadyen? Idk.

We just saw the HFPA not nominated Jerome last year after winning the Emmy so Ruffalo missing wouldn’t shock me at all.

Neither would Mescal (but his and DEJ’s star’s have been on the rise so much since April and they’ve attended a few virtual HFPA events so think he’s safe, for now) and/or Jackman (but that’s just a niggling hunch with him that I can’t put my finger on)

    COMEDY SERIES: Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist

How this still has 100/1 odds is baffling. It’s thee definition of Globe bait.

    Oscars FYC:

"Lamb" – International Feature and all categories

"Summer of Soul" – Picture, Film Editing and Documentary Feature

“The Green Knight” – in all categories

I don’t think it’s that big of a risk since it seems like it has no passion left, but a total shutout of Lovecraft Country.

So I have updated my predictions and this is probably the closest to final predictions I have:

    – Each of Lovecraft Country, The Mandalorian and Ozark getting snubbed in Series in favour of The Boys, Bridgerton and Perry Mason.
    – Rege-Jean Page
    – Dakota Fanning over Laura Linney
    – Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist in Series and Actress
    – Dave Burd
    – The Undoing snub in Series + Actress
    – Nick Robinson in Actor
    – Tracey Ullman and Marielle Heller in S. Actress
    – Catherine O’Hara snub but two nominations for Schitt’s Creek (Series + Actor).

    FYC:

"The Good Fight" and "The Other Two" in all categories.

I have Modern Family returning to SAG Ensemble.

    That would be epic!

My SAG comedy ensemble predictions are so far off from the prediction center. I have shows like blackish, Curb and The Flight Attendant in. Dead To Me just don’t make sense to me as an ensemble show and Linda Cardelini has yet to display any sign of strength so going all in with Ensemble just seems weird. Insecure never got a single nomination so why would it suddenly get actress and ensemble in when it’s doing poorly since Emmys? Frankly, it also seems forgotten. I also have yet to see a proof WWDITS is more than a writers show. It was only nominated at emmys because that branch stans it, but no indication that others, especially actors, watched it since. It’s not like it had any build up buzz since. The Good Place never received any SAG nomination during its run, so why would it get ensemble for leftovers episodes of its final season that aired more than a year ago? Like how is it #6 in the center right now?

    SAG:

    – Lovecraft Country and Better Call Saul shut out.
    – Bridgerton in ensemble.
    – Perry Mason in ensemble and actor x2.
    – I May Destroy You, Normal People and Small Axe shut out.
    – Bryan Cranston.
    – Jim Parsons.
    – Elizabeth Olsen.
    – The Flight Attendant sneaking into SAG ensemble.
    – Mahershala Ali and Hannah Waddigham getting in.

    FYC:

"The Good Fight" and "The Other Two" in all categories.
