Who benefited the most?… For the actors, I’d rank them this way…

    1. Hannah Waddingham
    2. Brett Goldstein
    3. Julianne Nicholson
    4. Evan Peters
    5. Josh O’Connor
~ the rest were fine with or without the wins honestly

    * Also, I think Michaela Coel will get a huge boost for her career as a writer/producer/actor from her writing win.

Nicholson. She’s gonna get a lot more meaty and interesting offers now.

I also think this is a good sign for Evan Peters to drop Ryan Murphy. I gave up on Sarah Paulson at this point (she’s a phenomenal actress, but she needs to do more of Mrs America/Game Change/Martha Marcy May Marlene/12 Years a Slave/Carol instead of all these Ryan Murphy camp), but Peters can survive. He will hopefully use this prestige win to star in similarly challenging TV shows and movies as Mare.

    FYC 2022 Emmys:

Best Actress in a Drama Series: Sandra Oh in "Killing Eve"

Best Actress in a Comedy Series: Sandra Oh in "The Chair"

Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series: Kim Joo-ryoung in "Squid Game"

    Olivia Colman.

Lol she was the winner who didn’t require a carreer boost.

I suspect the two female directors who won for The Crown and Hacks might also benefit; last year, Maria Schrader’s directing opportunities expanded after she won for directing Unorthodox.

It would be too good to be true, so it’s never going to happen. I think that for some reason both Evan and Sarah think they owe something to Ryan Murphy, so they won’t leave for good.
But hopefully Evan will get new offers and will be too busy to accept every role Murphy offers him. And I say this as someone who enjoys Murphy’s shows.

Maybe. Although The Crown and Hacks are continuing series so it’ll be a while before they move onto other opportunities (although not so long for Jessica Hobbes considering The Crown will finish shooting its final season next year).

According to IMDb, both series use multiple directors during the course of a season— Jessica Hobbes directed “only” 3 of the 10 episodes of Season 4 of The Crown and Lucia Aniello directed “only” 6 of the 10 episodes of the first season of Hacks.

Lucia Aniello is also a writer and co-showrunner on Hacks and Jessica Hobbs will  probably be directing both seasons of The Crown back to back.
