Vote in our new poll about who should host the 75th annual Emmy Awards on Fox.

The host(s) will almost certainly be from Fox or the Disney family. My personal choice in the poll would be Steve Martin/Martin Short (Hulu is owned by Disney) since it’s a big anniversary year, and they are both previous Emmy winners.

Fox network is independent and not affiliated with Disney so I’m not getting the comments that the host should be coming from Disney…

Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!

Andy Samberg from the list. Gervais is the best though

No poll is showing up, just a bunch of ads.

Landing the “Only Murders” trio to host would be ideal.

Isn’t FOX TV separate from Disney? I thought all FOX TV (FOX News, etc) weren’t a part of the merger deal and are their own separate business.

My guess would be Ken Jeong since he’s on the Masked Singer

My final answer would be Keke Palmer. Time for her to host an awards show.

But if not her, I quite liked Tig Notaro’s hosting gig for the HCAs, so it’d be nice to see her host a show that deserves her comedic timing. If they wanted to do someone specifically affiliated with the network in some way, I think Taraji P. Henson (Empire) would be a fun pick and she also has hosting experience from various televised events, some even on Fox.

Everyone I deal with at Fox, ABC, FX, Hulu, Disney+, 20th Century and Searchlight all work for Disney.

There are probably more people in the comedy category doing some version of deadpan this year than ever so Tig’s style would actually work.

Isn’t FOX TV separate from Disney? I thought all FOX TV (FOX News, etc) weren’t a part of the merger deal and are their own separate business.

    This is correct.

FOX, the broadcasting network is still owned by New Corporation, meaning separate from the 20th, Searchlight & FX companies. Their “Fox Entertainment” production group was founded in 2019 after the Disney acquisition.

There is currently programming on the Fox network, that is both produced by the Disney owned 20th Television (911, The Resident, Animated shows) and the News Corporation owned Fox Entertainment (Call Me Kat, Welcome to Flatch, Accused, Animal Control).

So having a host involved from non-20th Disney productions (OMITB, Abbott etc) wouldn’t make since for the network since their isn’t any cross promotion involvement.

From the poll, only Angela Bassett and Will Arnett are likely options.

Some options I wouldn’t mind seeing whom are actually on the network

    • Angela Bassett and Rob Lowe (leads of 911 and it’s spin-off)
    • Mayim Bialik (lead of Call Me Kat)
    • Jamie Foxx (host of Beat Shazam, former In Living Colour cast member)
    • Will Forte (cast member of The Great North & Housebroken)
    • Ken Jeong (judge on Masked Singer, host of I Can See Your Voice)
    • Joel McHale (lead of Animal Control, host of Crime Scene Kitchen)
    • Jane Krakowski (host of Name That Tune)
    • Lisa Kudrow (cast member of Housebroken)
    • Neicey Nash (host of Don’t Forget the Lyrics)
    • Nick Offerman (cast member of The Great North)
    • Eric Stonestreet (host of Domino Masters)

Given this is shaking up to be a comedy dominant year I would like a comedian.
