Josh Charles and Baranski for season 5.
Also should’ve won Writing for Hitting the Fan.June 24, 2020 at 4:13 pm #1203550636Sadly the best season of the show coincided with one of the strongest line ups we had in drama lately (Breaking Bad’s last season, Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, House of Card’s first season, Mad Men, True Detective’s first season), which led to it not being nominated in series and writing, when it should be, at least, competitive for the win.
Margulies lost to herself in season 1 with that submission, so I can’t be mad about that. Deserved and won for seasons 2 and 5.
Charles and Cumming deserved wins, but the former was never getting it over Aaron Paul for Breaking Bad’s last season and the latter shouldn’t for season 6, even though my winner would be Ben Mendelsohn for the first season of Bloodline and not Dinklage.
Even though I was really happy for Panjabi’s season 1 win and love the caracter, there is no way she should get it for season 2, since Margo Martindale was miles ahead of anyone that year.
While Fox should have won at least one, I would give one to Baker and keep some winners, like Jeremy Davies, even though he really deserved in 2011, not so much in 2012.
Also, Stockard Channing should have been nominated at least once.

Margo Martindale should have been nominated (and even won) for her performance in the Season 2 finale of “The Good Fight.” It was a short performance, but she was amazing. I honestly can’t believe some of the words that came out of her character’s mouth–it was pretty foul.
Audra McDonald has deserved a nomination for every season she’s been in, too.
“Hitting the Fan” and “The Last Call” should have been major episode contenders. Unforgettable episodes, “in my humble opinion.” Also, “Red Team Blue Team.”

NOMINATIONS & WINS (“The Good Wife”)
Series: 1, 2, 5
Julianna Margulies: 1 (winner), 2-4, 5 (winner)
Christine Baranski: 1-7
Josh Charles: 1, 2, 5
Alan Cumming: 7
Matt Czuchry: 6
Archie Panjabi: 1-3Baranski would’ve been nominated and lost for every year she was eligible: 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2015 to Christina Hendricks; 2011 to Margo Martindale; 2013 to Maggie Smith; and 2016 to Constance Zimmer. Still have to complete my personal awards with guest nominations.

Alan Cumming shoul’ve won for the “where did you go to school, you idiot!’ season. He was so extra and my favorite actor/ character on the show besides Mama Margulies.
