There should be a none option.
I agree that both may not miss but I just wanted to see the consensus on who is more vulnerable in a potential situation.

That contradiction basically speaks for itself, but I will add that nobody has ever heard of anyone who worked on Unorthodox, nor is the subject matter flashy or especially timely, so it clearly is a word-of-mouth hit, seeing as we are talking about it at all, let alone for awards.
ReplyCopy URLMay 14, 2020 at 9:35 am #1203481177I think the biggest plus point in Unorthodox‘s favor is that it is that it has managed to make a seemingly niche story become mainstream. After all, the main reason I haven’t watched it yet is because neither the synopsis nor trailer seemed like a something suited to my tastes at all but it’s getting to a point where I will probably view it. Especially as it is only four episodes (the other major factor that I think has helped it).

It’s really an easy binge too. It didn’t plan it but I watched the full thing in one setting.

Regina King is not missing. Especially not for Haas or Kazan. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

It’s a posibility could happen to any of the predicted nominees

Regina King of all people is not missing.
ReplyCopy URLMay 14, 2020 at 10:53 am #1203481316I enjoyed Washington’s performance more, but she had the much more exciting character. There wasn’t really anything exciting about Witherspoon’s character other than lying to get info on Bebe and then taking the blame for her kids. Every episode gave Washington ample opportunity to do something shocking.

Completely agreed. For whatever reason I wasn’t drawn to it from the trailer, but my boyfriend convinced me I would like it and when I finally gave it a chance, I was hooked immediately within the first few minutes of the first episode. And I agree that it’s an easy binge and easy commitment given that it’s only 4 episodes.
ReplyCopy URLMay 14, 2020 at 4:12 pm #1203481785Neither will be snubbed imo. (As long as LFE can get into series)
I went back and looked at the prediction center and was unable to find series leads competing for nominations in the same actor/actress category that were split. Also, the only few times there were actor/actress lead splits were arguably skewed towards their more well-known actress counterparts prevailing on possibly more name/awards recognition than their actor partners + better performances & roles in their respective series too; ex: (Britton, Dunst, Lange, Dockery) v (McDermott, Wilson, Peters, O’Connell).
ReplyCopy URLMay 15, 2020 at 4:25 am #1203482554Neither of them are in danger. LFE is recent, popular and both were fantastic in it and will get their deserved nominations. Reese will also be nominated twice in Drama Actress. She’s making history this year, buckle up.

Honestly, I don’t even think she’ll be nominated at all for Best Actress. Colman, Linney, and Aniston are locks. Comer won last year, so she is also very safe. Moss, Kidman, Davis, Oh, and Wood were all nominated the last time they were eligible, so they will probably round out the field. I don’t see a near-future in which Witherspoon receives two Drama Actress bids.

June 9, 2020 at 2:10 pm #1203524139I think Washington’s gonna lose the last spot to Shira Haas.
