Who Would You Vote for Strahovski or Dowd?

We’ve talked about how there are many contenders that could join Supporting Actress locks Julia Garner and Helena Bonham Carter as nominees. Two of these are Ann Dowd and Yvonne Strahovski from The Handmaid’s Tale. However I have seen some people predict only Dowd and some only Strahovski so I wonder, if you were an Emmy voter who would you vote for?

I’d personally vote for both but I am only predicting Strahovski.

This season I would go with Dowd. I love Strahovski but I think she was much better in season 1 and season 2 and, for the first time ever, Dowd blew me away. Her performance in both ‘Gold Bless the Child’ and ‘Unfit’ was brilliant.

Who would I rather see win an Emmy? Strahovski.
Who was better this season? Dowd.
Would I vote for either to win? No.

I still don’t understand how Strahovski was snubbed in favour of Dowd when she gave a better performance IMO, was the third credited actress and is the bigger name.

I worry the Emmys might not be taking her seriously and stereotype her as a “dumb blonde” actress due to previous roles.

Dowd was terrific and equally amazing, but Strahovski would be my personal choice since she hasn’t won yet. She’s also my personal choice for supp. actress this year.

I’m surprised at people saying Dowd was better in s3 when to me it was clearly her worst season and Strahovski was superior (she has been since s2 anyway).

YS may never be better than she was in Season 2. Seriously, you don’t get story arch’s like that too often as an actress. I still think she should have won last year.

Both AD & YS are neither going to phone it in or turn in a bad performance in these roles. AD’s season 1 win was deserved as was the nomination in season 2. I personally wouldn’t nominate her for season 3. Yes, she had a stand alone episode, but compared to the work she had already done, it wasn’t anything special. YS continued to show more layers as Serena Joy and AD wasn’t giving me anything new. JMO
