Curb isn’t eligible for Writing at the Emmys because it’s dialogue is largely improvised.

Actually, they became eligible after Season 9.

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

    Drama Series: Succession
    Comedy Series: Hacks
    New Series: Hacks
Long Form Original: The White Lotus
Long Form Adapted: A really close race between Maid and WandaVision. Or I wonder if WGA will just default to Barry Jenkins

Lol at The Morning Show and “La Amara Vita”, WGA doing that should be nominated for Best Comedy

    It's all about Ethan Hawke!

These nominations are overall pretty good other than The Morning Show though I’m not surprised as Succession and Yellowjackets were the only drama series this year that had positive buzz. I feel like people are only interested in watching TMS because it stars Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston.

    Dame Mandy Moore is coming.

She is serving this final season. We won’t accept a snub this time and if she loses let it be to Ms. Linney and not to the Dune actress.

ALL nominated dramas and comedies have been doing the weekly episode by episode model, I have been telling you that the Netflix model is slowly dying… And seeing it even sooner than expected makes me so happy!

The Handmaid’s Tale receiving the place that deserves – divine justice!

This is us surviving one more year. Mandy Moore deserves to win, or at least, a second nomination! And first ones for Justin Harts and Susan Kelechi Watson!

Not at all, the show is good and does not deserve the hate that it gets from the snobs in Film Twitter. The storyline of Mitch was terrific and the writers took notice and nominated the best episode of the entire show – La Amara Vita.

The Handmaid’s Tale, Loki and This is us also had a positive buzz.

Loki will show up at PGA too. Unfortunately this thing is going to the Emmys.

Fortunately, you mean, cause it is amazing television that you have clearly not watched and you only hate cause is Marvel. Loki has terrific elements of sci-fi, fantasy, time travel, it is deep, nuanced, with great characters development, gorgeous dialogue, solid directing and beautiful cinematography. Acting is stellar.

Nice to see the WGA still embrace some bright spots with network television. Nothing for “Insecure” or “Pose” is both sad and eye-rolling. I wasn’t expecting “Loki” to make much of an impression here, but it surely did. Cool for “Yellowjackets”! For a second, I thought it said “Yellowstone,” like AGAIN lol? Last nod for “Conan” is nice. Love to see continued nominations for a mainstay like “Curb Your Enthusiasm”! But that nod for “AHS: Double Feature,” woof. If there were a theoretical way to just cite “Red Tide,” I’d applaud that. But adding in “Death Valley” to it immediately ruins and invalidates the nomination. Yay for “Impeachment,” “Hacks,” “This Is Us” (“Birth Mother” was superb), “Succession” (but I would have cited a stronger later episode), “Mare,” and especially “The White Lotus”! The writers always come through for Mike White, as they damn well should!

There is too much unnecessary hate for The Morning Show on this forum.

I actually don’t think that’s 100% true. I might be projecting here, but I think people generally think Season 2 is inconsistent rather than awful (likely due to almost entirely unavoidable COVID factors and admirably trying to tackle issues but probably biting off more than they could chew) and people were quite wary of how the leaning-in to the pandemic might be received, and where the show is going long term, and are able to discuss those pitfalls freely like adults.

Other shows (cough cough Succession) you can’t discuss anywhere online without a fan army launching at you (ie a rational response to Succession is thinking Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong are both good, not launching diatribes about how someone is just “objectively better”. It’s acting, it’s all subjective).
