Katie Findlay (How to Get Away With Murder) will recur on the NBC musical dramedy as a new love interest for Max, EW.com reports.

Findlay’s Rose went to summer camp with Max, who had a big crush on her, but nothing ever transpired between the two of them. When New York-based art curator Rose reconnects with Max while in San Francisco for a few months, “they will explore old feelings for each other,” showrunner Austin Winsberg tells EW.

Findlay makes her debut in the midseason premiere, airing on the show’s new night: Sunday, March 28 at 9/8c.

It’s actually good. It’s a combination of the mid-2000s network dramedies, high concept films of the 90s and the production value of Glee.

Last week’s episode was truly intense and one of the best so far! Skylar Astin did an amazing job performing that song at the beginning and deserves so much a nomination.. shame the show is not that big and Ted Lasso might dominate his category at the Emmys

I loved how they were able to incorporate music into a flashback episode. It was great seeing Zoey’s father interacting with the family before his illness. Skylar Astin continues to be my favorite character and singer on this show. Give me the Thinking Out Loud full recording now please. I really enjoyed this episode and I just want Zoey and Max to be together. I hope we get some more flashback episodes via Zoey’s therapy sessions.

The network’s sibling streamer, Peacock, had been in negotiations to pick up the show for an eight-episode final season, but we’re told those talks broke down over the weekend.

Lionsgate, the studio behind Zoey’s, is already shopping the show around to other streaming outlets and there is said to be some interest.”
