I binged this show last month and it was fine I guess? Jane Levy is excellent in this role and I won’t mind if she does receive an Emmy nomination (it would be well deserved). I found Zoey’s whole family dynamic to be quite fascinating and its exploration of her father-daughter relationship in the first season to be quite heartfelt. The musical performances can sometimes be a bit of a mixed bag on this show.

Other than Levy perhaps the performance I was most taken by in the two seasons was Bernadette Peters’. She was hilarious in her Cheap Thrills number.

FYC: Better Call Saul, The English and The Good Fight in all categories including Emily Blunt, Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.

‘Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist’ Has Been Officially Revived by Roku as a Christmas TV Movie

Roku says production on the TV movie will begin next week in Vancouver, with an air date in time for the festive season.
