November 11, 2020 at 2:38 pm #1203830058The nominations are supposed to be a week from now on November 18th so I’ll throw up my predictions and I’ll bold my currently predicted winner.
I’m going off of the categories they had last year, but I’m not going to make predictions for any of the Esports, content creator, or community support categories. Other than Overwatch, I don’t really keep my ear to the ground when it comes to Esports or streamers.
After the Cyberpunk 2077 delay, I think this is going to be between The Last of Us: Part II and Ghost of Tsushima with Animal Crossing: New Horizons as the dark horse.

ValorantNovember 12, 2020 at 5:01 am #1203831171FF7R won’t miss GOTY I loved that game. Also, Monster Hunter World should have won GOTY in 2018.
ReplyCopy URLNovember 12, 2020 at 4:07 pm #1203832761I feel like The Last of Us II is gonna walk away with the big one, easy.
ReplyCopy URLNovember 14, 2020 at 7:30 pm #1203837434Great predictions. I’m kinda disappointed that Ghost of Tsushima is been so praised, I think that the game is just above average. My favorite is TLOU2, but Hades and Ori are also impressive. I think that Half-Life will miss the cut because is not very accessible, I mean, you can only play it on a pc with a VR that is not PS VR. I think that even most of the journalists haven’t played the game, but we’ll see. If there’s a sixth game, I’d bet on FFVII Remake.

I was thinking there may be a stigma against remakes as opposed to new games, but now I remember that the RE2 Remake got nominated last year. I think that remake bias will keep it from winning in the same way RE2 lost last year, but now I feel like I should have included that over Doom Eternal or Half Life: Alyx. I’ll stick with my current predictions for now and go down with the ship.
ReplyCopy URLNovember 18, 2020 at 8:18 am #1203845152Eric Junkes- I really enjoyed Ghost of Tsushima. It’s actually one of the only non-Telltale games that I’ve platinumed. I do agree that the hype felt a little overblown though. I thought the side activities were fun, but over the course of 60-70 hours they ended up becoming a bit tedious (other than the shrine platforming puzzles which I loved). The quests for the non-supporting character NPCs weren’t particularly memorable, but I did like the quest threads for your companions. The game seemed to dodge a lot of the criticism that’s thrown at other open world games with the same style.
I agree that the accessibility of Half Life: Alyx is going to be its biggest hurdle, but it has great reviews and the idea that it’s pushing the VR part of the industry forward. So if the jury did play it, I could see it squeezing in.

The story of the game was really boring, while the characters were talking in the story time, I was playing Lucktastic which is one of the best scratch off apps to win real money, that I’ve found on an article from youmoneygeek. There you have lots of other reviews on apps where you can win real money.
ReplyCopy URLDecember 24, 2020 at 1:55 pm #1203943952I am almost absolutely sure that the game that will be chosen will be different from the games we like because it is impossible to identify the best video game. People have different visions and preferences, so it is impossible to choose a game that would be the best for everyone.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 25, 2021 at 2:32 am #1204060322In my opinion, The Last of Us: Part II deservedly won first place. It has an interesting story, excellent graphics and it can be replayed repeatedly. And I often come after work, fall into my recliner and play it.
There are also a few games that haven’t won an award in previous years (as far as I remember). Such as the God of War and Detroit: Become Human
