Will Video Games Ever Be Regarded As Highly as Movies or TV?

This is something I have wondered for a long time. Will there ever come a time where video games are regarded as highly by the general public as movies or television?

I do think that over the years video games have been getting more recognition and a much larger fan and user base. However, video games are still more niche as compared to movies/television so perhaps it’ll definitely take a much longer time for it to ever reach a state where its just as highly regarded.

I don’t know why, but television and cinema used to be much more appreciated than video games. Perhaps because the industry was not as developed as it is now. For me, the field of cybernetics and video games is now at such a high level that you sometimes wonder how cool a project has been created. Take even the game Minecraft for example, it has so much variety that you can’t get bored. I often play on pvp servers where they allow other players to fight with each other. And I really hope that the creation of video games is valued much more than before.

Yes. Cause many videogames are superior to movies and TV. Yes they inspiration from it, but i think the videogames are more art than movies
