When will the predictions centre be open to predict the Critics Choice Awards nominations?

FYC BAFTA TV : Killing Eve, Russell Tovey, Years and Years, His Dark Materials, Ruth Wilson
FYC Emmys : Jodie Comer, Ruth Wilson, Helena Bonham Carter, The Crown

Can we have a prediction centre for BAFTA please. We only occasionally get one and I don’t see why there is not one every year. It is one of the main precursors.

    FYC Emmys-
    Limited- Unbelievable

Drama- Killing Eve/The Crown/The Morning Show
Jodie, Sandra, Olivia, Jennifer & VIOLA DAVIS

Comedy- Schitts Creek/ Dead to Me

Some of the notifications I’m receiving lead nowhere or says oops!
Also people trying to write to me gets “something went wrong” so we’re using regular email.

    Should I change my browser?

i just checked a bunch of my own notifications and they seem fine. I have a hunch that the problem you’re encountering has to do with the trolls in our forums. When they respond to your posts you get a notification, but then it goes to a dead zone when you click it because we’ve zapped the troll’s user account. Do you think that could be the problem?

Two were trolls acting like they’re really friendly. But one isn’t, who told me she couldn’t reach me.

Thanks Tom. Trolls have been coming for me since I’ve returned.

Is there a way I can be flagged when I receive a private message? I haven’t figured out how to do this if there is a way. I miss those old blue flags.

A prediction event for The Game Awards would be fun. The nominees are up!

Update the site to have more accurate odds like it used to have. The odds posted on the siteare no where near the true odds. You would bet all your money if Brad Pitt really were around 3-1 odds at a casino, like the site had posted. He probably was more like 1-25, ie bet $25 to win $1. It is less interesting when the odds are all bunched together and you can’t really earn that many extra bonus points by taking any of the under dog picks the way it is now. Does anyone know why the site changed as a few years ago it had more accurate odds that adjusted more to reflect who was being picked and who was not being picked?

I’m new here. I was glancing over the movie section and noticed that topics had parts 1,2,3, etc. Sometimes people might want to reference an earlier post but they would have to go back to a previous “part” to get this information. Has there ever been discussions to improve the forum so a topic can run on for more than 30 pages or so? The Original Post of each topic can also provide relevant information. This would also cut down on the total number of topics too.

Also an auto-save function would be great in case someone is typing a long essay in a post and suddenly he/she accidentally hits the backspace button or close the browser.

I am pretty new to Gold Derby so maybe this has been explained before. Again, I don’t know. But I was wondering if the odds from previous years were available. I know you can go to the hub and find them, but that only has them from like 2010 and later. Gold Derby has been around since 2000, so I was wondering if there were odds from then to 2010 as well.

Gold Derby was not at goldderby.com in the years before 2010 and there was no predictions centre. Tom would sometimes attach odds to contenders for the Los Angeles Times, but they were not based on aggregate predictions of users.

Actually, a slight clarification: the GoldDerby.com url was active from 2000 to 2005 when I then licensed the site to the LA Times, yes, you’re right, Riley. Then in 2010, I yanked GD back so we could build and launch the prediction functionality, which did not exist earlier. In 2015, we were acquired by PMC.

I think that a new section where we post our personal awards would be good and it seems like it is actually necessary. I like posting mine and seeing other lineups.
