Is there a reason that we don’t predict on BAFTA nominations and Guild nominations (particularly DGA, PGA, and WGA)? It just seems like since those are important precursors, it would be worth our while. Plus, for those who want to see who had chances at getting nominated, it would be super beneficial. If we hadn’t done nominations predictions for 2016 PGAs, a person may not know that Zootopia actually had an outside shot to be nominated for Best Picture. I’m just saying…

I think, at a time like now, it would be good to have a few more shows to be able to predict (TCA, BAFTA TV, etc.) and even though the next 10 months are unpredictable, an early Oscars centre would be chaotic and fun.

Have a great day if you see this!

I don’t know if this is just me but I can’t change my signature. What I have typed in the signature section is not actually what I have on my profile when I edit, but what I had like a week ago.

When searching for forums or for previous awards in the awards hub, it says no results if there is nothing that matches exactly. Change the search to look for keywords, like every search engine does, so that things come up that are still related to your search, rather than nothing.

Hi, guys. In the future, is it possible that we be granted the ability to delete our own threads? I’ve made a few mistakes when it comes to posting threads, and every time I do that I just want to delete and re-post. To me, being able to do just that would be so much easier than having to reach out to a mod, request that an old thread be deleted, and then wait for a reply or action.

    🙂

I heard at some point that this was not feasible because it would inadvertently give you the power to delete subsequent posts by other users.

In that case, it might be a good idea for that potential issue to be fixed as well.

Alternatively, they could also add more mods so I don’t have to wait as long for mods to reply to personal requests… IF they reply at all.

I don’t know. I just want this thread and this thread deleted so I can repost “corrected” versions of them. Because in the past I’ve had threads completely disappear from public visibility because I had the audacity to edit the initiating post even in the slightest.

I’m sorry. The fact that people are replying to both of those threads while I am powerless to correct them in one way or another REALLY makes my blood boil.

So, about a year and a half ago I asked a question and got very helpful answers (see the last page). Anyway, I’m just wondering if there are records of the experts’ predictions from that time period. I have a plan to watch every Oscar and Golden Globe and etc.-nominated movie, and also the ones that were snubbed or had outside shots, so being provided with the latter would be greatly appreciated.

    Oscars FYC:
Belfast (Pic, Balfe, Dornan, Hinds, Screenplay)
    CODA (Kotsur, Screenplay)
Dune (Pic, Villeneuve, Screenplay, Cinematography, Editing, Production Design, Sound, VFX)

sorry for the long delay in response. Yes, all past predictions are preserved. Go the top of any experts’ page and use the drop-down menus. First, do a search for the award and year you’re looking for, then choose the drop-down option for “Experts.” Try starting here:

To be clear, this should include predictions from 2000-2005?

Being able to create your own leagues but your own prediction leagues with other awards then the ones that are being predicted in the official Gold Deeby leagues. For instance, I wanted to predict the Critics Choice Super Awards but there wasn’t an official league for it and when I tried to make my own, I was restricted to the ones that already exist.

When the nominations come out can we have a predictions centre for the next BAFTA Television awards please? There are a significant number of us who follow the awards and we have to use Google polls as an alternative predictions centre which is really hard to sustain. It was fun looking at who Gold Derby was predicting in 2017 and with the increased crossover between British and American TV (The Crown, Killing Eve, I May Destroy You, I Hate Suzie, Normal People etc) it will be interesting to see everyone’s predictions.

    FYC:

"The Good Fight" and "The Other Two" in all categories.
