The 2022 CMT Music Awards are scheduled for Monday night, April 11, honoring the best achievements in country music videos from the past year. And of course they will also be a showcase for the nominees, many of whom are scheduled to perform during the CBS broadcast. Scroll down for the complete list of performers, updated as additional artists are announced.
These awards differ from the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Country Music Association Awards in that they’re decided by country music fans as opposed to peers in the industry. As such, it’s not surprising that some of the biggest fan-favorites in the industry have dominated over the years. Foremost among them is Carrie Underwood, who has won the most total awards (23) and the most Video of the Year honors (nine) of all time. She’s nominated in that category again this year for “If I Didn’t Love You” with Jason Aldean, for which they’re also nominated for Collaborative Video of the Year.
But the biggest nominee at these awards is Kane Brown, who is up for four awards including Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year for “One Mississippi.” He has won Male Video twice in the last three years, but he has yet to prevail in the top category. Following close behind him with three bids apiece are Mickey Guyton, Breland, Cody Johnson, and Kelsea Ballerini, the last of whom is also co-hosting the ceremony with “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” star Anthony Mackie. Who are you most looking forward to seeing at the event?
