Twelve years after “Deadwood” left the airwaves, HBO announced that its Emmy-winning western series will return as a TV movie in 2019. Production began in November 2018 for the telefilm that’s set a decade after the events of the show’s original 1870s timeline. After his Golden Globe-winning role on “Deadwood,” McShane starred in “Ray Donovan” (2015) and “The Pillars of the Earth” (2010), for which he earned a second Globe bid. He was most recently seen in the Starz supernatural drama “American Gods.”
After his role on “Deadwood,” Olyphant went on to star in the film “The Crazies” (2010) and FX’s “Justified” (2010-2015), which earned him an Emmy nomination. You can currently catch him in the Netflix horror-comedy “Santa Clarita Diet.”
A decade after “Deadwood,” Parker received an Emmy nomination for her guest role in “House of Cards” (2016). She most recently played a part in Amazon’s “Goliath” (2016) and Netflix’s “Lost in Space.”
Succeeding “Deadwood,” Malcomson popped up in “Sons of Anarchy” (2010)
and as Katniss’ mother in “The Hunger Games” (2012). She most recently co-starred in the Showtime drama “Ray Donovan.”
Following “Deadwood,” Hawkes went on to star in “Winter’s Bone” (2010), earning himself an Oscar nomination. His next big role was “The Sessions” (2012), for which he scored a Golden Globe bid. He recently won a SAG trophy as part of the ensemble of “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.”
After her role on “Deadwood,” Gunn went on to star as Walter White’s wife in “Breaking Bad,” earning herself two Emmys in 2013 and 2014. You could also catch her in the TV miniseries “Gracepoint” (2014) and the drama “Shades of Blue” (2017).
After “Deadwood” came to an end, Callie had roles in several popular TV series including “Sons of Anarchy” (2008-2014), “The Booth at the End” (2012) and “Fear the Walking Dead” (2016).
Dourif continues to appear in some of Hollywood’s classic horror film remakes and sequels. Be sure to check him out in “Halloween and Halloween II” (2007/2009) and as the voice of Chucky in “Cult of Chucky” (2017). Dourif also scored a role in “Re-Animator: Evolution” (2017).
Following her Emmy-nominated role on “Deadwood,” Weigert could be seen in “Sons of Anarchy” (2010-2013) and “Jessica Jones” (2015). Most recently she appeared in the HBO limited series “Big Little Lies.”
After his quirky role as E.B. Farnum on “Deadwood,” Sanderson went on to to play a sheriff in HBOs “True Blood” (2008-2012) and a judge in “A Merry Friggin Christmas” (2014). His next role was in “Assassin’s Fury.”
Dickens has had one of the greatest post-“Deadwood” careers, thanks to appearing in “Sons of Anarchy” (2013-2014), “House of Cards” (2015-2016) and “Fear the Walking Dead.”
McRaney is a TV veteran who won his first-ever Emmy Award after 40 years in the biz for his guest role on “This Is Us” in 2017. He also currently has memorable recurring roles on “House of Cards” and “NCIS: Los Angeles.”
New cast member Pettyjohn is known for her work in the Nickelodeon world, but she also recently starred alongside Nicole Kidman as her daughter in the 2018 feature film “Destroyer.”
