The 64th Annual Grammy Awards are being held on Sunday night, April 3, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. That wasn’t the original plan, but as they say, the show must go on. So who’s performing at the 2022 ceremony? Scroll down for the complete list of artists, updating as the Recording Academy announces additional names.
The Grammys are usually held in January, but this is the second year in a row that the broadcast has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year’s show was initially scheduled for January 31, but a spike in COVID cases pushed them back to March 14. They were then held in and around the Los Angeles Convention Center in California with a combination of outdoor awards presentations and indoor performances.
This year’s show was also scheduled for January 31, but the sudden surge of the omicron variant of COVID-19 in December and January prompted CBS and the academy to delay the awards yet again. This time, however, the show is also crossing state lines. This will be the first time the event is held in Las Vegas. Los Angeles and New York City have been the most common locations for the awards, with Chicago and Nashville taking part during the Grammys’ early years when the ceremony was held in multiple locations at once.
One thing remains the same, though, between this year and last: “The Daily Show’s” Trevor Noah will host the broadcast and artists representing a wide variety of genres and styles will be showcased and awarded. Who are you most looking forward to seeing?
