Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn have presided over “Project Runway” since it launched in 2004. The hosts of this popular reality competition show that currently airs on Lifetime guide would-be designers through a series of challenges. The winner of each season gets a cash prize as well as a chance to have a line of clothing featured in a leading outlet.

Season 1: Jay McCarroll
Then: Jay beat runner-up Kara Saun on February 23, 2005.
Now: Jay teaches fashion design at his alma mater, Philadelphia University. In his spare time, he designs textiles.
Season 2: Chloe Dao
Then: Chloe beat runner-up Daniel Vosovic on March 8, 2006.
Now: Chloe has a boutique in Houston, sells her fashion collections on QVC and is a judge on “Project Runway: Vietnam.”
Season 3: Jeffrey Sebelia
Then: Jeffrey beat runner-up Uli Herzner on October 18, 2006.
Now: Jeffrey designs a successful children’s line of clothing, La Miniatura
Season 4: Christian Siriano
Then: Christian beat runner-up Rami Kashou on March 5, 2008.
Now: Christian is the most successful winner of the show to date. His collection is showcased at New York’s fashion week annually and he has a number of licensed lines as well.
Season 5: Leanne Marshall
Then: Leanne beat runner-up Korto Momolu on October 15, 2008.
Now: Leanne concentrates primarily on designing wedding attire and has several retail partners.
Season 6 Irina Shabayeva
Then: Irina beat runner-up Althea Harper on November 19, 2009.
Now: Irina continues to design exclusive red carpet looks for celebrities.
Season 7 and All Stars 3: Seth Aaron Henderson
Then: Seth beat runner-up Emilio Sosa on April 22, 2010.
Now: Seth returned to win the third season of “All-Stars” in 2014 and is focused on designing sustainable wear and products.
Season 8: Gretchen Jones
Then: Gretchen beat runner-up Mondo Guerra on October 28, 2010.
Now: Gretchen continues to design and sells her creations in select stores and online.
Season 9: Anya Ayoung Chee
Then: Anya beat runner-up Joshua McKinley on October 27, 2011.
Now: Anya, a one-time Miss Trinidad & Tobago, serves as a goodwill ambassador for her country and continues to design, focusing primarily on tropical wear.
Season 10: Dmitry Sholokhov
Then: Dmitry beat runner-up Fabio Costa on October 18, 2012.
Now: Dmitry returned to win the fourth season of “All-Stars” in 2015. Dmitry designs exclusive fashions for select clients.
Season 11: Michelle Lesniak Franklin
Then: Michelle beat runner-up Patricia Michaels on April 25, 2013.
Now: Michelle returned to her native Portland, Oregon where she launched her own label.
Season 12: Dom Streater
Then: Dom beat runner-up Alexandria von Bromssen on October 17, 2013.
Now: Dom returned to win the fifth season of “All-Stars” in 2016. She continues to design and is based in her native Philadelphia.
Season 13: Sean Kelly
Then: Sean beat runner-up Amanda Valentine on October 23, 2014.
Now: Seth was one of Tim Gunn’s all-time favorite designers. He is focused on his online presence.
Season 14: Ashley Nell Tipton
Then: Ashley beat runner-up Kelly Dempsey on November 5, 2015.
Now: Ashley continues to design fashions and jewellery for plus size women
Season 15: Erin Robertson
Then: Erin beat runner-up Roberi Parra on December 22, 2016.
Now: Erin continues to design and promotes her fashions via an extensive social media profile.
Season 16: Kentaro Kameyama
Then: Kentaro beat runner-up Ayana Ife on November 16, 2017.
Now: Kentaro continues to work on innovative designs that incorporate aspects of his native Japan.
