
Every year on “The Masked Singer,” a gaggle of secret celebrities in extravagant costumes compete to win the coveted Golden Mask. Fox’s wild and wacky reality TV who-sung-it began as a mild curiosity in 2019, but soon grew to become one of television’s most-watched shows. Fans at home analyze every clue and costume detail as they try to guess who’s hiding behind the masks. But in the end, only one celeb is named the winner by a combination of votes from the studio audience and panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger. None of the panelists correctly guessed T-Pain was really the Monster, making it one of the most shocking reveals of all time. The runner-up that season was Donny Osmond as the Peacock.

It worked … sort of. In the December 18, 2019 finale, Jenny McCarthy and Ken Jeong both picked Foxx as their final guess, while Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger both knew Wayne Brady was the Fox. The runner-up that season was Chris Daughtry as the Rottweiler.

Only Jenny McCarthy was savvy enough to name the boy band singer as her first impression, winning her a second consecutive Golden Ear trophy. “This experience has [reminded] me how much I love singing, how much I love music,” the artist formerly known as Piglet said as the final credits rolled. The runner-up that season was JoJo as the Black Swan.

Amazingly, she was supposed to unmask during the third episode of the season, but was saved when the judges rang the “Ding Dong Keep It On” Bell. Nicole Scherzinger was the only panelist to name the British singer in the finale. The runner-up that season was David Archuleta as Macaw.
