Most viewers were shocked when this pint-sized powerhouse wasn’t crowned the season six champ. She was the favorite to win from day one when she stormed onto the stage and blew the coaches away with her cover of “Wrecking Ball.” Her impressive vocal range and huge social media following may not have been able secure her a win, but she will always be one of the most memorable artists from this program.
13. Kimberly Nichole (Season 8)

Bald. Bold. Beautiful! There is nothing sexier than someone who knows who they are and OWNS it. Kimberly Nichole dressed to kill when she walked out and absolutely nailed the most gut-wrenching, soulful version of “Creep” we’ve ever heard. Week after week she transformed herself into a piece of art on that stage and we loved it!

It seems as if season two was a lifetime ago, but one performer who has stood the test of time is this rocker. Her raspy voice and undeniable stage presence made for some epic performances including “Cryin,” “Freebird” and “Crazy,” leading her all the way to second place.

At just 16 years old she laid down some massive vocals on songs like “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” and “I Put a Spell on You.” Her special bond with her coach led her all the way to a second place finish and one of the most impressive collections of performances we’ve seen on the show.
Michelle Chamuel on The Voice

What was so great about Chamuel was the unique persona she brought to the stage. Her “nerdy” outward appearance while delivering some of the coolest performances of songs like “I Kissed a Girl,” “Titanium” and “Just Give Me a Reason” made her one of the most likable figures on the series and carried her all the way to a second-place finish.
20. Meghan Linsey (Season 8)

Meghan Linsey is a spitfire country singer who came to “The Voice” stage guns blazing. The no-nonsense, platinum blond was a seasoned veteran by the time she joined the competition and delivered the most stunning version of “Girl Crush” we can recall. The attitude and sass she could add to a performance made her one sexy cowgirl.
Sasha Allen on The Voice

Pitch-perfect performances of classic hits like “At Last” and “I Will Always Love You” made it clear that she was not only brave enough to take on huge songs, but she always delivered. When it comes to pure vocals, Allen was undoubtedly one of the best to perform on the show. In the end, she went home in fourth place, possibly due to sounding a bit more like a trained vocalist than an artist singing from an emotional place.
Madi Davis on The Voice

Throughout the course of her season, Davis went from being somewhat of an underdog to one of the most memorable singers we’ve seen. The singer-songwriter gave us unique takes on songs like “Love is Blindness” and “Songbird” and with each performance seemed more special.
Shalyah Fearing on The Voice

It’s always fun to watch someone break out of nowhere and become a legitimate contender for the title. That’s exactly what happened in season 10 when nobody was giving Fearing a second thought. Then she blew everyone’s mind with a scorching rendition of “Listen” and followed it up with another emotion-filled performance of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.” Sometimes the evolution of a young artist is one of the most fun things to witness, and that was the case here.
Beverly McClellan on The Voice

In looking back at the history of this series, we have to remember one of the pioneers from the original season. Who could forget this 41-year old, openly gay woman with a shaved head who was the perfect example of what this show was going to be all about – talent over image. From her blind audition, “Piece of My Heart,” to her gut-wrenching duet of “Beautiful” with her coach in the finals, McClellan remains one of the most memorable contestants to date.
