Can I ask why are you active only on this thread? Why Sex Education vs Euphoria discussion so important to you?August 11, 2020 at 12:59 pm #1203640256
I wonder if HFPA will embrace diversity rather than over applauding white celebrities.August 11, 2020 at 11:50 am #1203640138
Perry Mason seems like something that will be forgotten by next year except Lead Actor. Unless guilds support it I guess.
Personally, that show is such a dissapointment.
Regardless of its awards chances I Hate Suzie looks really good. I hope a US channel or service buys the show.August 10, 2020 at 12:00 pm #1203637737
I feel like we are creating negative biases towards these shows before they are even out. All of these shows have amazing talent behind them and we are talking which one is going to fail before we watch and appreciate these shows.August 9, 2020 at 4:49 pm #1203636325
Why I think streaming movies are not tv movies that is because most of them are acqusitions or not being originally produced for tv viewing. Other than American Son, this year’s Netflix movies are all associated with shows and American Son is basically re-enactment of a play. Bad Education wouldn’t be competing at Emmys if a studio bought it.August 9, 2020 at 4:33 pm #1203636301
American Pickle was originally going to be released theatrically which makes it eligible for Oscars. Also tbh, regardless of their qualities, only Lifetime and Hallmark movies deserve to compete at Emmys. Streaming movies are not TV movies.August 9, 2020 at 4:27 pm #1203636290
Unlike Emmys, limited lead actor will be really competitive with the additions of Jude Law, Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, Jeff Daniels, Brendan Gleeson and Bryan Cranston.August 9, 2020 at 4:19 pm #1203636284
@wolfali I don’t think HBO Max movies will compete at Emmys.August 9, 2020 at 12:17 pm #1203635831
I don’t think The Mandalorian will be nominated at GG just because it was nominated at Emmys.
